Marks and Spencer

Popped in to get a slim fit shirt for my son going back to sixth form. Very helpful staff and lots of choice. Previously picked up formal wear with no hassle and the food although not cheap is very tasty and fairly priced. Add to this easy parking and you have my 5 star review based on last 3 visits.

I have visited M&S sptty newport and bought some clothes for kids I always spend £50 to buy clothes for faimly. The customer services is pathetic I mean if you ask some one for help they are always busy I have experience of buying a wrong size beside of busy schedule I went again this morning to exchange and what I found out that cashier don’t know the offer still exist and sent me upstairs to check and met another staff she said she knows better then her but she said go home bring all the shopping back and we check if we can make same offer I refused came downstairs to till and lady follow me and start arguing uninvitedly and I have to answer 2 staff at time screaming and not giving chance to speak even at the end I have to pay the difference manager was their didn’t help not even stop the staff to humiliate me in front of other customers I payed money for goods why we need these sort of peoples at till why not put self check in to avoid this sort of behaviour I ask lady want to review she said do it only don’t care wish if their was less rate then this I would have given them I won’t be buying them all the goods from foreign and they selling very expensive and then abusive behaviour

Fantastic service from Paula in the lingerie section who was very patient with my sister and eventually found exactly the right products for her. She was delighted !! Many thanks.

GREAT STORE with mens clothes on second floor and Cafe with toilets. Womens clothes ground floor and food hall. Easy access from car park and lift to second floor. A good selection of clothes.

M& S are too busy hustling customers, to give a good service.
The cafe: Scone clearly priced at £2.00, however, they charged me £2.20 at the till; reluctant to correct.
"Would you like the Columbian coffee?". They don't tell you that if you do that will be an extra 20p. 'Ordinary', I say. They charge for a large and are snooty when I correct to regular.
My wife BUYS a jumper, the sales assistant doesn't bother to take off security tag. An unnecessary journey needed to correct their mistake.

What is going on with the small trolleys! It's so frustrating I go in my lunch hour to do food shopping & I'm always looking in the trolley parks for a small trolley but none yesterday ! There were big ones in the store but this just shows Marks & Spencer do not know their customers. Another thing aisles aren't wide enough for many big trolleys & I bet 90% of people can fit everything in a small trolley. A lot of elderly shop there they don't want a huge trolley either. I've got trolley rage I know but it's so irritating & I'm still suffering today as I hurt my back carrying a heavy basket! Self serve check out tills mostly only taking cash last few wks. Also I have shopped in M&S food halls firstly with my Mum & then myself so 40 odd years it was always quality so you didn't mind paying more. Now I'm afraid to say it's not what it was clothing went way down now food too so I don't hold much hope for its future. If I want cheap food I could go to Lidl, Aldi, Asda etc but I want QUALITY! Same with clothing why stoop to Primark level sort it out top level at M&S you don't know who your customer is !!

Visited today to buy some boxes of chocolates and tins of curry, steak and kidney, and found none in stock. Very disappointed with this store today and in fact in the past. No Covid awareness within store with people just walking through you or reaching across your personal space.
