Judiths alterations

This is my favourite tailor in Cardiff, the quality is perfect and the service is great! I much prefer to pay on pick up because as a student I sometimes need time to find the cash but it’s always affordable! Judith has moved to Wellfield Road and the new shop is just round the corner from the globe and so much bigger and airier. Thank you for my perfectly fitting dresses!

First visit was polite (the shop was full of regulars and acquaintances of mine) but when I went back to collect my dress I was gobsmacked by the curt and very rude reception I got from Judith (in front of another regular customer who actually had to intervene so I could get a receipt as requested!). I’d like to find something kind and generous to say about this business owner, perhaps she’s had a difficult life? I also wonder if she has some unconscious bias regarding multiculturalism, and judging from other reviews, that may well be so. If so, perhaps Cardiff, as a diverse and welcoming city, is not the place for Judith’s Alterations interpretation of the “friendly, personal service “ claim on the website?

Really helpful lady. She is no-nonsense & might seem a bit abrupt but you're not there to become friends! Very good.

I have taken numerous garments to Judith for alteration, including some very expensive jackets and overcoats, and she does a great job every time.

Ignore the negative comments about rudeness. Judith has a direct, honest, no-nonsense manner, but I really appreciate that. She's a great laugh when you get chatting.

Took my bridesmaid dress in to be altered and Judith did an amazing job with a very quick turnaround!

She’s a professional and gets the job done. On time and very practical. I understand why people think shes rude but shes not she doesn’t joke around.

Took 3 pairs of large curtains to be altered, quick turnaround considering how busy and in-demand she seems, and done to a very high standard.

Second time having Judith repair clothing. Very happy. No small talk around hard it is, expensive it will be, blah blah. Just dives in and gets it done. Couldn't fault service and result.
