Edit (May '19): Back up to a 3 star food hygiene rating as of March ‘19 so while not great, it’s better than it was! I’ve started going back there again since the improvement and the pizza still tastes as good as it did previously. Hopefully they can get their next food hygiene review up to 5 star rating 🤞
Previous rating: Good fish and chips. Highly recommend the pizza's which are really good (way better than the usual Domino's / Papa John's, etc).

Good sized portions and lots of choice. Not just your standard chip shop offering. They do fresh pizzas to order and there's always kebab meat options too. Staff are all friendly and efficient. The place is always really clean. I've never had a bad experience here. Really glad this is on my doorstep.

I think 2 stars isn't unreasonable given our experience today. Fair prices for the products on offer, but certainly didn't equate to the value provided.
Only 2 members of staff so ordering took a while, as did the production of food; I'm talking being there for over half an hour to order and collect. There were only 2 customers ahead of us on arrival.
And, of the three orders made today, each had a least one mistake. One order was entirely forgotten - the order slip lost by the worker. And all three had one item swapped out for another - a fish cake for fish fingers, fish fingers for a burger, and a sausage instead of nuggets.
We didn't go back to swap our items as there was a much bigger queue once we left and it had all taken such a long time to get in the first place.
The food was pretty poor quality, to be honest. I'm not sure the positive reviews here are based on current operating.
The chips were decent though. Although no salt or vinegar offered on them, which is ironic really, given the name of the shop!

Food was good and portion size was adequate. No complaints, reason for 4 stars is because it was Puka Pies which I don’t rate.

I went here for the first time and I can honestly say it’s far better than the chippy I use to go to. Portion was very good staff were very friendly and the kebab meat was absolutely delicious. I will definitely be coming back kelp up the good work. Nice

First time I had been hear and I had heard mixed reviews previously. Ordered the mixed meat and chips and a fish, sausage and chips . Food was lovely and hot and tasty. Reasonable size portions Staff very friendly .Only disappointment was having ordered a tin of coke for my youngster I was told to help myself from the fridge. Having taken my money there was no coke in the fridge and was basically expected to make do with what was there like it or lump it (diet coke or lemonade) £14 in total.
Nice but better in the area if you are willing to travel.

Dry, greasy, no tartar sauce, ordered 1 curry sauce guy decided to sell 2 to me only realised when I got home opened the bag and checked the receipt. Very difficult to communicate with the chap working there. He asks unnecessary questions and complicates the order. I just want a regular fish and chips. I don't know what "special chips" means and I don't care. Just give me some god damn chips!
