Unfortunately didn't have a great experience. Although had booked in advance when we turned up the restaurant was full so were seated in the bar but had to sort own seats and tables. Waited over 1 1/2 hours for food, one person missed completely they did eventually provide her food free of charge but after we had all finished. To finish the night then accused for not paying bill when we had plus tip which certainly wasn't deserved.

Fantastic service from Ruby and Caren. The Sunday lunch we had was absolutely delicious! I even managed pudding! It was an absolute gem of a find this little place and will definitely be back

Rooms expensive for what you get. It's over a pub bar so don't expect any sleep till closing time. Breakfast, it's a tray with cornflakes, an apple, croissant, and piece chocolate. Supposed to put fresh milk out your room each evening. Well that happened once so on Friday, I got none and as there's no staff in the morning, and no shop nearby, no breakfast for me. Nice comfy bed though. Bathroom has empty gel and shampoo containers in it, why can't they be filled up? £108 a night? Shameful, I'll stay elsewhere next time. Shame as the curries are very good and bar maid lovely.

Booked a room via booking.com. Paid the whole price and, for our surprise, when we arrived the place was CLOSED. We were a family with 2 little kids. After this we struggled finding a place in the area and soent hours left and right looking for a room (almost all places were fully booked).
No one informed us the place was closed. Either the hotel or booking.com didn’t do their job.
Now trying hard and waisting my time looking for a way for being reimbursed.

Went for a curry last Thursday and it was really good to see the pub busy.
The curry was really good and considering we hadn't booked were weren't waiting long at all. Really impressive service considering how busy they were. The wait staff are a credit to them!
OK selection of lager but could do with more ale.

Booked Sunday lunch as all previous meals in the past had always been amazing, unfortunately the new management have a long way to go to get the food to the standards we had come to expect. Serving staff not knowing what’s on the menu, dried up beef, Yorkshire puddings that resembled pieces of coal they were that black and veg that had seen better days. No cutlery or condiments on the table which when asked for you were made to feel like it was an inconvenience, needless to say we won’t be returning unless there is some vast improvement.

I went to meet friends who were staying there. They couldn't fault the place. We had fish and chips, sirloin steak (medium to well done) and a Welsh Lamb curry medium spiced. I had the latter with half rice and half chips. I couldn't fault it apart from it being classed as a medium, not that I minded. The pieces of lamb were good cuts of Lamb. A great choice of lagers, but not many beers. Service was good and a diner at another table also had the Welsh Lamb Curry. We all cleared our plates. Apologies, for not taking photos of my meal.
