Amber Cars

Used amber plenty of times over the last 15yrs... drivers excellent and generally a great experience and very reasonable with the introduction of hybrid cars. Customer service in the rank is v good but when called, the service is indifferent.

I am a client of Amber Cars over 6 months and very happy with the service. They are always on time and drivers are very polite. Sometimes they don’t have enough cars, which is understandable. However unlike the other taxi services in Northampton, Amber cars are honest, if they cannot provide service on requested time, they will let you know. Overall, responsible and reliable service 👍🏻

The second driver sent was exceptionally polite, prompt and professional. Called me when not initially located and turned round to pick me up. Used back routes to avoid rush hour to get me quickly to my location.
The first attempt was abismal: was told he was 5 minutes away, and still not there 25 minutes later. Didn't locate me, and didn't pick up on the missed call. Drove away.

Driver excellent and polite. Very helpful and excellent timekeeping. Not so keen using automated call as prefer to speak to someone. This would be more important if I wanted to book an airport run

Fantastic service, although initially I called and was told 25-30mins. I tried another company and they expected me to pay over double the price. I downloaded the app and had a taxi with me within 4mins. Excellent. I’m used to using Uber, however the app was just as easy to use.
I didn’t know the drivers didn’t have a card machine, and the driver helped me by explaining that I can pay using a QR code at the end of the trip. Definitely will be using again. Thanks.

Highly recommend Amber Taxis. I booked a taxi from Northampton train station to Whittleburry Hotel and return . Taxi was waiting at station on my arrival. Taxi was very clean and driver pleasant had a lovely chat on the 20 minute journey to hotel , then was picked up at agreed time from hotel to station following day again was very impressed with Amber taxi from the moment I first contacted them last week to book taxi to contacting them yesterday to ask for a receipt of both taxis . 1st class service highly recommend

Booked cab no problems. Got a text to let me know the driver was on his way to collect us. Nice guy knew Ingleton where my daughter lives. Talked stock cars with my husband and was a genuine guy.
Shopped in tesco called for a cab for our return journey. Man said half an hour but we only waited 15 minutes. Again got a text to say he was on his way. He dropped us right by canal where we were moored. Nice guys grand service. We would recommend to anyone. Thanks. Nancy

Couldn't rate Amber taxis more highly. I would if I could. I called to ask if instead of taking me to Northampton Station, if they could now take me all the way to Weymouth. No problem for them and with only an hour s notice we were on our way. Very comfy car and a very kind and friendly driver who helped the journey pass quickly. Thank you very much Amber..I'd recommend you to everyone.
