Nice little café just off the main boulevard. Good value food and when you go for a large coffee, it's in a cup large enough to swim in. Much appreciated!

It was a busy Saturday lunchtime when we visited, so there was a delay on the food (they genuinely were flat-out), but we were told that up front, which is great and we weren't under any kind of time pressure. The food was good when came and we had a very decent lunch.

Next level: the only thing I might ask for is a little bit of heating in the toilets. The main body of the café was nice and warm, but the gents was ... chilly. I appreciate it's not an easy trick to heat a small room which isn't occupied all that much and has running water, but it would just add that extra something to the experience...

Afternoon tea delivered a few days ago. The selection and quality was superb! A real treat. Fantastic carrot and chocolate cake. scones and cream, meringues, and the best chocolate tiffin ever. Thank you.

Been coming here for a couple of years and it's never failed me and the wife . Best breakfast around and great value for money. Friendly family run this little gem and it's nice to grab a proper cup of coffee without the big brand prices and Jo's cakes and treats specially the scones are to die for. Of you want a good breakfast or small bite for lunch then rose cottage is your place to go also they put on some fantastic tea parties.

We called in for lunch and the owner was rushed off her feet but so helpful and friendly. Toasties were very good and were reasonably priced. Not as smart as the courtyard cafe but we were glad we called in there for lunch.

Cheap and cheerful cafe - tucked away in the side alley - good choice of food nicely cooked, beautiful pot of tea in big china teapot - quiet and friendly place

Found this delightful little place by accident. Enjoyed a snack lunch of proper home-made soup (stilton & broccoli), absolutely delicious and a fruit scone, again home-made which was better than I ever make! Owner & his wife both lovely & chatty. Would highly recommend. When we were leaving they told us they were shortly to relocate to nearby courtyard with bigger premises & outside space. They deserve to do well!

A lovely ambience as soon as I walk inside. Friendly helpful staff. Good service. A very reasonable price. The food is home made and perfect. I will also highly recommend the chunky vegetable Hot Pot. Being very healthy too. Thankyou

The most amazing little cafe, this cafe isn't super duper posh however they make up for it by being one of the most welcoming cafes! The food is really reasonably priced and all of it is of a very good quality! They offer over 26 different kinds of milkshakes (we had lime and wow it was good!) As well as waffles and sundaes! The staff are always welcoming and accommodating to anyone wishing to come inside! Would highly recommend!!
