We went on the advertised Burger & Beer for £10 night. It was a really pleasant experience, traditional English village pub with welcoming staff, we felt at home straight away.
The food was excellent, best burger I have eaten in years. The chef came out several times to ask if we were happy with the food and service, both of which were first class. We will definitely be going back very soon and I recommend you give it a go :)

Great range of will kept Ale and always friendly service. The food is exceptional and eclectic. Thai food, cooked by a Thai chef, is authentic and delicious. The fish and chips on Friday are really good value, a decent portion and delicious. Papa Jeff inspired the American breakfast and this is a family favourite - American gravy and tata tots are a firm favourite, grits perhaps an acquired taste!

A lovely, quiet pub/restaurant/tea shop. The lady who owns this lovely place advised me a week or so after new year that it is permanently closed. We were heartbroken - it was always a special treat to call in on a Sunday after a walk. The best Sunday lunch we ever had in over 50 years - no exaggeration. We do hope the Rose and Crown reopens some time in the future.

A great find at the end of a walk round Titchmarsh Nature Reserve. The staff are friendly and cheery
The bar is actually the rear of the building and the village grocers!
Veritably charming to be able to browse the small shop and fresh local produce and order a drink and food too!
Good choices and made to order so expect to wait for service at the bar and it arrives not too fast or slow. Outside seating and not allowed indoors currently
Masks needed inside.

Out for a beautiful walk Titchmarsh, Sudborough, Lowick, Islip. Stopped for a welcome pint locally brewed beer ( Oundle) at the Rose and Crown, Islip . We were made very welcome by the friendly staff and sat in their peaceful garden - they double up as Village Grocer too - the heart of the community. Would definitely recommend

Called in for Coffee & cake - all was perfect.
Very welcoming staff & the home made cake was amazing.
Coffee was large & lovely - so had two more! Would go again.
I was speaking to people that said that Mark & Rachel have really had to diversify during covid & it shows - the pub is still has a welcoming bar, plus a village shop plus a cafe & apparently the home made bread is something else.
Great to hear that these guys have been prepared to to change with the times without losing any of the charm of the place. Well done.

And to all my cycling friends out there - it would be a great place to stop off with additional seating outside if required

We stopped here and had Sunday lunch. Initially I was concerned the place was so quiet but we went with it. Ordered 2 roasts and this was honestly the best roast I've had in a very long time. Although full we decided to sample a warm homemade brownie and homemade ice cream, again amazing!!! Why this place is not packed out with Sunday lunch diners I have no idea?
