As a fellow tea/coffee/hot chocolate lover as my partner, everytime we are in Exeter we always have to pop into Whittard. The atmosphere inside is homely, really lovely looking store with fantastic smells of the teas and items they sell. I myself have been going in for years as my nan got me into teas as a very young boy. The sleepy tea was always a favourite of mine and helped me as a child who struggled greatly to sleep. It really helps! Everytime you enter the store you are greeted with a warm smile, a happy server who is very informative and suggests some incredible items! There are some incredible testing stations where you can try some select teas and hot chocolates! They always change the choices too, so if you are never saw if you would like a rose tea or a blueberry muffin hot chocolate, they may have it as a tester a day later or so. It's safe to say 9/10 times my partner and I really like the tester so much we buy the product! This has happened most times! The blueberry cheesecake hot chocolate, English rose tea, pink lemonade cold brew tea etc! It's got the best selection. The staff always offer a tea sample with the sale, which is an amazing touch! Most of the samples have been absolutely incredible! The store does offer student discount too. The prices are fair for what you get and the size of the contents inside too! I can honestly say this is possibly my favourite place in Exeter! Brings back memories and the selections are amazing! Highly recommend!

Really lovely little shop, their tea and coffee are all amazing, some of the best in Exeter. The staff are all very friendly and knowledgeable, and the free samples are new, exciting and gives you a good idea of some more 'Avant Garde' brews! Would recommend!

First time going to this store.. at first I thought it was only a tea/herb shop. Turns out they got fresh roasted coffee beans too (Dark/ Medium/ Light) - the first time I see a shop having all three and I drink a lot of coffee. I tried two 125 gr bags one dark and and the other light roast and I have to say one of the best places until now.
I made an espresso with the dark roasted one and I got so much crema I took a photo.
On a last note the girl working there was very helpful and polite :)

So I was super picky I wanted a yummy hot choccy but i really couldn’t pick and then i asked this gentleman named Neil what he recommended and omg it’s just a drinks shop but it was the best retail experience of my life he really listened to me and I had such a nice chat with him and he told me to get sticky toffee pudding. just made it with almond milk and yep warm yummy sweet and amazing. thank you so much Neil, you actually made my day.

Some gorgeous gift ideas in here for tea drinkers .. and hot chocolate drinkers.
They have lovely packaging and an adorable range of Alice in Wonderland tins, cups, tea pots etc. We were told there is a bigger range online.
Helpful and friendly staff and we were offered a tea sample to try (unfortunately we aren't tea drinkers, but it's great that they make this available).

We came in yesterday to buy some bits and pieces for Christmas. The man who served us was very helpful and polite and was able to recommend a tea close to the Christmas tea that I love so much that I can purchase when the Christmas seasonal tea has been finished. We were also able to taste test some chocolate covered coffee beans, which were lovely. Thank you all!

Went in yesterday for some good coffee - it's so hard to find a coffee I like for my espresso machine. I asked this guy (sorry I didn't get his name) for help and he was so helpful. He asked how I have my coffee, what strength I like etc and recommended a coffee which he then ground and bagged up for me. I was so excited to have my coffee this morning and it was everything I expected. Like drinking liquid gold. Thank you so much. Just wish you were closer to us in Liskeard
