Ban Yai Thai Restaurant

Great Thai food, well worth a visit, masaman curry wash lush.

Vegan and vegetarian Thai restaurant, but with possibility to add meat or fish. Prices ok. Very kind staff. Recommended!

We must have been unlucky because this restaurant provided the worst Thai food I have ever experienced. Pad Thai with prawns so overcooked that they were solid; green chicken curry with so little curry paste that it was close to coconut milk soup, and something in the sauce was burnt, so the whole dish tasted burnt; and the third dish of chicken and vegetables was a tiny portion, less than half a take-away box, and the wafer-thin chicken was overcooked and hard, like the prawns. Strange that we got three bad dishes when there are so many positive reviews. I counsel caution, but I’ll leave you to make up your own minds.

The worst Thai I've ever had (and I've had a lot).

Came here a few weeks ago with a family member. The corn cakes were so hard it was like eating a very stale biscuit- if you're not careful you could lose a tooth.
The green thai curry was bland, tasteless, and seemed like someone had just watered it down. My pad thai was the worse I've ever had, but I ate it because I was that hungry.
The worst part was when we went to pay at the end, although not enjoying any of the meal, we only asked for the green thai curry to be taken off because we didn't touch it it was that bad. Instead of apologising, the lady working there decided to be SO RUDE and say there must be something wrong with us. She gaslit us so badly I haven't ever experienced anything like it before. When we said we weren't going to pay for that 1 dish because it was terrible and we didn't eat it, she asked us if we'd ever had thai food before. Her attitude was so out of order. Will never be returning here. Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere that actually know how to cook Thai food and don't condescend their customers.

Nice Thai restaurant with good food and reasonable prices.
The fried fish is very nice.
Service was fast and friendly.
Only issue is it is a bit cold in the dining room.

We ate at this place many times and always enjoyed the food. BUT as usual in the evening, we ordered the same Tom Kha soup as always, with prawns and noodles, and we got noodles with milk. No spice or flavor.When I called and explained the situation, I was not listened to and they expected to convince me that the soup I always eat is the way it used to be, no spices are added to it and it should be the way it should be anyway. They didn't want to apologize or admit them mistake. Very very disappointed. Problem wasn’t solved. Very poor customer service, we won't be coming back for shure…
