Bleakholt Charity Shop

A nice shop with good products and nice staff.

This is an updated review as ive always liked this shop the staff have always been welcoming and friendly with myself & children, as they like to buy childrens books from here but there has recently been a staff change over and they are Not child friendly at all! My tired 18 month old sat down on a chair and I took her wellies off, to then be told off by not only a customer who had not even purchased the chair, as she was " debating" shouting "get off my chair" to then be told by the staff, watch the chair OMG it's not an ancient artefact! it's a £20 chair and last time i looked thats what they were made for! Suffice to say we left promptly & disgusted by their attitudes.
Bleakholt should really check that their "staff" have basic customer service skills before letting people like that loose in their shop.

Shut again sadly. I've tried to donate on at least 3 occasions in the last 4 months and it's been shut.

Thank you for the quick reply to this comment. But it would help if the shop website actually mentioned the problem and that the number there is not the shop!

This star is because the website opening times need changing PLEASE! I phoned the shop and the answer machine message states that the hours are 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. No wonder people are fed up, arriving to find it closed because the website states 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

To begin with the staff who give their time voluntary, are very helpful and patient, especially with elderly people.

And they sell a wide variety of things, obviously not everything, but you maybe surprised what they have.

So please call in and see for yourself 😊
