I am absolutely gutted! I am so sorry to have to complain but I am astonished by the lack of customer service from your Bromley Store. Today, I bought a new sofa. (well, new to me!) I paid £100 plus £30 for delivery between 2pm and 7pm. I was assured of a 45 minute call beforehand to make me aware of delivery. It is now 10 past 7 and, although I called over an hour ago and was assured that the sofa was en route, there is still no sign of my sofa.
I understand wholeheartedly that the store is staffed, largely, by volunteers. However, I don't see why someone couldn't have picked up the phone to say "Hi there, the store's closing now, your sofa won't be with you until tomorrow".... Instead, I was lied to twice:
my partner drove past the store earlier this evening and saw the sofa in the store window. I called the store and was told that it was actually en route. (it quite clearly wasnt!)
I was assured that the delivery would be with my by 7pm by a lady called Sue. It clearly isnt.

I think the BHF do a great deal of 'good' in this world. They are a wonderful charity who are currently being let down by the lack of training they provide to their retail staff.

I phoned as had some furniture to donate, the lady was polite, and efficient. We organised the date. The collection guys phoned me half an hour before they were due to arrive, and they arrived when they said they would. They assessed the furniture, and took it away promptly and efficiently, and even left me my own British Heart Foundation gift card, so that if i donate again I can show it and my own stickers too with my gift aid number to make it easy again to donate. I now feel great that I have been able to donate, and they made it easy, i hope that someone is now able to buy that furniture and make use of it! The gift of giving!!!

We brought furniture from BHF Bromely yesterday but the delivery person left the sofa out side our flat because legs of the sofa not dismantle during shifting so no access to get inside. The delivery person was rude and say that not his job. Two years back we brought from Debra Orpington they were professional delivery and cheaper price. If any buy from BHF Bromely it's our responsibility for delivery. Charity shop ? Never

I would like to say a big thank you to the staff at Bromley heart foundation.
Not only were they kind and courteous but very considerate of my needs and rushing to get to the store on time.
I purchased a gorgeous Chesterfield armchair which was a present from my daughters as I’ve always wanted one. I had nothing to sit on in my living room at Christmas and this is just the perfect item of furniture to make my Christmas Day special. Christmas tree lights twinkling , some Michael Bublé playing, a tartan blanket. sat on my Chesterfield armchair with a drop of Baileys on Christmas Eve. Thank you so very much your kindness put the icing on the cake I wish all of you at Bromley Heart foundation a very Merry Christmas. 🎄❤️🙏🏾

Terrible customer service! I spent 30 minutes browsing through the shop, and decided to buy a sofa. When I was at the checkout about to pay for it I noticed that a sales assistant (middle-aged woman, blonde hair with reading glasses) was removing the price tag of the same sofa for another couple that had just entered the shop.
I had already asked her how much was the delivery to my address, I was being seen by other sales assistant but she knew that I had already filled the delivery form with my details.
When she came back to the checkout I said “sorry, I’m about to pay for the sofa that you’re showing to that couple”, she replied without looking at me “sorry I sold it”, I said “I’m about to pay for it, I’ve filled the delivery order already”, she replied sorry rolling her eyes. The couple kept on browsing the shop while she was filling in the delivery order, they hadn’t paid for it yet.
During my visit she kept passing between me and my friend saying “excuse me” in a very rude way.
The entire situation felt so ridiculous and the customer service and attitude from that woman was so poor that I didn’t want to argue and I just left the shop.

Fantastic prices. Not sure why there are complaints about the cost of items here - I wasn't able to find good quality furniture elsewhere for the same price.

Staff were wonderful - friendly, helpful and very organised. My partner and I bough 4 items and were able to get delivery for the very next day. Everything came professionally cleaned, in great condition, and the delivery men were equally as helpful, friendly and accommodating as all the staff in-store.

Delivery was scheduled for any time between 2-7pm. Got a call at 2:20pm to say items were on their way and would be with me in approx 30 mins. Wonderful service.

Very happy with my experience with the British Heart Foundation Furniture & Electrical store and will DEFINITELY be back.
