Not the greatest of furniture, but a few very nice items can be found here. I used to browse here regularly and bought several items. Prices can be a little high, but are usually worth it if you manage to find some quality furniture.

What really lets it down is the volunteers. A few are friendly enough, but most are surly and miserable. Some are just downright rude! They are the reason I only used to go here and not any more.

My parents recently bought a sideboard here and were given a choice of two days for the delivery. They were on holiday for both, so I agreed to accept the delivery. They were told in the shop I would get a call and be given one hour's advance notice.

What actually happened was I got a call to say they were already there. When I asked about the promised hour's notice, I was told they don't and cannot do that. The driver bluntly told me that's down to the people in the shop and it's 'not his problem.' Given he's the one getting the complaint, that makes it goes problem, but I shall be complaining at the shop.

My parents have now told me they will not be shopping here in future either.

Real Pity. Made an appointment for collection of a bespoke bookcase/shelf unit that is to big to take now I'm moving. There are 3 x my house number in the road I live in so I really made a point of the house name, called 3 times on the day as well but no one came. Called again at 16:00 only to be told I wasn't in! I've 7 Terriers, no one comes anywhere near this house without my hearing! so they DIDN'T check the instructions, called at the first similar number they came to and then tried to say they'd come again another day! I work, spent all day today hanging around, damned if I'm giving up another day to people who can't be bothered to write down and/or read the directions properly

I bought online via eBay and drove from London to collect. Called on a Sunday to ask about collecting and Karen was really helpful. Asked for when collecting the next day and she could not be more helpful. Very happy with my purchase. The shop is filled with great looking furniture and would definitely buy from here again - just wish it was closer but a great excuse to visit Dover

i stopped going here a few years ago as the prices was so high and I went else where so the other week I thought il have a little look inside as I need a sofa and not having enough funds to buy new I thought this place might help and have something cheap so I went upstairs and I spotted table and chairs I thought I wonder how much thay are as I was interested so I say the price and I thought there might be a mix up with the price as it was so expensive so I got my phone out and looked on eBay and there was the same table and chairs on eBay I compared the prices and the heart foundation was Charging £10 more then what eBay wanted and the one on eBay was ((NEW)) so I thought il leave it so I went back down stairs and saw a lovely sofa I loved it and looked at the price and I moved on looking at others and I couldn’t find 1 sofa on my budget what I liked and worth the money as most of the stuff is so expensive I walked out in the end and thought we’ll them prices are so expensive I’m going to save and put the odds and buy a new sofa, my advice would be is before you buy from here have a little Google as some stuff is cheaper online, I understand this is charity based but everything this shop gets is ((FREE)) but thay charge the earth for everything and sadly I’m not the only one who says this

No idea regarding long covid found them attitude of some of the staff to be uncaring what was odd was her saying they have to protect vulnerable staff, none were wearing masks. I am long covid but not infectous at all, i also had triple by pass last year so understand the risks , very disappointed and will go elsewhere
