Claire House Children's Hospice

I'd give zero stars if I could. For some reason, watched like a hawk whilst browsing. Horrible atmosphere. Indifferent service when purchasing. All of a sudden asked to leave as said policy doesn't allow dogs. (Tiny Yorkiepoo in sling carrier as pooch disabled with three legs).
They waited until I'd been in the store ten minutes and made a purchase.
Upsetting attitude.

Superb selection, excellent hard working volunteers working for a great cause... hats off to you.

As soon as I walked in the woman behind the counter with brown hair began to watch me for some reason. Didn’t think anything of it at first but she didn’t greet me and kept staring at me. She greeted every other person who came in. Walked to another rack and she followed and stared at me. So I walked over to another corner and she followed me and stared again. I signed and looked at her back. She then went into the back, called another store clerk and whispered and they both stared at me as I was checking the fabric on a tag. They then both walked over and stood close to where I was, staring at me. It was like being encircled. Every time I moved, both women followed and watched me!! I finally asked them if there was an issue and they immediately, said no. I told them that I feel really embarrassed and that I was not going to take anything. I had been going down all of the charity shops in the area, and had a bag of clothes. I had also bought from them before. They both said “sorry to make you feel like that” when I said I get watched and what was the reason. (I am a British Asian female 18). I then went to another rack and both of them stared whispering and looking in my direction again. I just left. Embarrassed and ashamed. I was just minding my own business. I’ve even bought from them before. Well not again! Shame on you!

Really rude store clerks and over priced items! They would just stand there looking at you up and down. Would not recommend! I’ll just donate my money to another Claire house store.

Absolutely awful staff! Really rude and me and my husband felt extremely uncomfortable walking around the shop. The woman with brown hair in the dress was incredibly rude and we felt like we were under constant surveillance. Reading the previous reviews I can vouch that this is true. We were visiting from Kent and had heard that the shops in Prestatyn north wales were good. Will not be visiting this shop again.

Excellent great volunteers and manager.
