Halfords Autocentre Lincoln (Formerly National)

It was ok, I've been twice this week once for a pair of tyres for my VW T-Roc and today for a battery for my Mum's Yeti. Both visits included a little waiting time but waiting area was fairly clean ,warm and ok seating. A old school garage experience and I would recommend 👍

I had a nail go into my tyre when travelling through the area, called kwik fit and the car manufacturer’s garage and neither had a tyre in stock to replace it, called National Tyre to see if they could repair the tyre and within 30 minutes of arriving at their garage with no appointment they had my car in the bay and about 20 minutes later they had repaired the tyre with a lifetime warranty. Only cost £25 for the repair.

Booked into National Tyres Lincoln at 8.30am for a brakes check, I was welcomed (word used lightly) by 'we might not be able to do it today' he asked if I was leaving the vehicle, I said no I'll wait, again he said we might not do it as someone didn't turn in yesterday but take a seat and we'll let you know. A guy then came in and said he needed a new tyre, he was welcomed with, no problem mate we'll sort that for you. The men that came in were talked to with courtesy and respect, a shame I didn't receive the same customer experience. My car was then checked, I was advised of the work that needed doing and the price. I compared this to Tanvics up the road, who I then went to, they were professional and polite, and did the work for £200 less than National Tyres, an all round good experience. My advice, (especially if you're female) avoid National Tyres as their customer service and costs are shocking.

Terrible service as ever here, only use because it's a fleet vehicle. 3 hours for a puncture repair on top of the customer service skills makes for an all round awful visit.

Tried to rip me off. Went to get a new tyre valve which is a fairly regular thing with my car and costs around £25. They were insistent that due to my special valves the cost would be £130. I told them it’s normally £25 and was gaslight and mansplained telling me I was wrong. They’ve even previously fitted one for me for £25 but they were adamant I was wrong and the cost would be £130. So I went elsewhere and it was £25

I'm not happy with the service. I order my Tyres online then on 17/10/2022 they call me one hour before My arrival, That the tires I ordered weren't delivered. They told me don't worry we have the same size but different Brand and also is A little more Cheap, i told him OK is no problem I coming he told me OK we to sorted the price for Tyres. When I arrived there I wasn't happy with the service.I waited an hour for four tires to change.The guy who was changing them didn't stop talking on the phone.They also didn't show me about the price being reduced or not.I came back at home And the next day, I'm going for work. One of the tires had dropped. I also lost that day of work to be able to fix the Tyre. I am not happy for that service and not come back me, my family and my friend.

Polite and professional and tyres changed quickly with no damage to the alloys. Thank you.
