Really good guys, honest and reliable. I was stuck for somewhere to take my car after our trusty family friend gave up working on cars. A friend recommended these guys and I can say she was spot on. Will definitely bring my car back here in future.

Avoid.

Took car for mot. They failed several things, a side light (which I showed them afterwards was working and I have photos) screen washers (which just needed the button pushed a little harder which I showed them working afterwards and I have a video). Their response was "oh, OK", but nothing else. They wouldn't acknowledge that they'd made a mistake in failing things that were working correctly, and wouldn't take them off the fail certificate.

They also failed it as the bonnet didn't close (which worked perfectly before I took it in, but couldn't even be slammed closed after they mot'd it, and they slammed it hard several times just to prove it!). They "repaired" the bonnet by boring out the bolt hole for the bonnet catch so the bonnet stayed closed. I'd opened the bonnet several times the day before doing pre mot checks, and there was never a problem, but now the bonnet is misshapen, they damaged it although there's no way I can prove it.

I phoned the DVSA about these, and was told they should have checked these better before failing it.

More worryingly, they also failed the car on both front ball joint covers allowing dirt ingress. They wanted £380 to replace them. I can't dispute this failure, but I was concerned after the other "failures" that I was getting ripped off.

I went to an independent mechanic who was concerned as to the way the splits in the ball joint covers had occurred. He replaced the joints and covers for £210.

The DVSA were prepared to carry out an investigation, but they had a 14 day lead time and I needed the car back so couldn't help them.

Again, avoid. Cheap mot price, but at what cost afterwards?

Steve and his team done a fantastic job of identifying and resolving some reoccurring issues I've been having with my Scirocco. The turbo and accelerator sensor faults were a reoccurring theme despite forking out with another well respected garage in the area. 3 months down the line after Setyres carried out the works, everything is still running smoothly with no performance issues whatsoever. Very reasonable pricing, will be using for any future works needed.

Do not go to this garage especially if you are a women on there own as they will rip you off say that bits need changing and don't change them but are happy to charge for doing nothing. had to take the car back twice to get the parts changed again as both parts failed 2 weeks later or parts were not changed in the first place. It has been reported to dvsa and they will be looking into this garage as its not the first complaint and probably won't be there last.

Please use another garage as these so called machanics are a bunch of con men

Had a new tyre fitted 2 weeks ago.
It was quite busy, but the guys were really helpful as always & fitted it straight away.
Really good to see Reno again as he always goes over & above.
