Brilliant service. Staff were so helpful. Everything explained. Definitely recommend.

Over the years I have used this business on many occasions but I won't do so any more. The service and facilities are the key issues and the competition does it much better.
The waiting area is accessed by walking through the work space area which is off putting and unsafe.
The service is a variable depending on who you're served by, the leader isn't a shining example but no doubt a good fitter.
It feels as though they are doing you a favour by serving you and the lottery of being served by a taciturn, sullen manager is not a gamble I'm willing to take again.
Maybe if the business was overhauled, and that includes the service element, I would return but for the foreseeable I'll go where I'm treated with courtesy and consistency.

Do NOT use Discount Tyres in Ty Coch Cwmbran … Firstly I took the car to have the tracking done and asked them to look at break pads and just check them, tracking was done and apparently I needed all four break pads and all four discs quoted £475 plus £37 for tracking , car still pulling so my mechanic came for a second opinion done all the break pads only 1 disc needed doing NOTHING wrong with my back discs , Discount Tyres failed to notice the bushes and suspension rod needed doing on my car so the tracking would of been IMPOSSIBLE to do , they’ve tried and in the process broken the rod !!! So not only did they want to replace discs that didn’t need doing which they miraculously said they needed doing by not even taking my tyres off to actually look , they’ve missed vital issues that would of prevented them doing a job that they’ve said they done ! Absolute joke

Recently had some tyres fitted to my 4x4 that were a little too large (My error in asking for the biggest ones) The guys did everything to try and get it sorted and allowed me to leave the car there while I got some wheel spacers. Spacers fitted and I was back on my way. Great service can see why they were so busy.

Needed to get my car mot'd same week and this was the only place in Cwmbran I could get a slot. They took the car 8:30 am, and called me back when it failed with the worst case price. They were then able to give me a more detailed cost breakdown and did all the work same day, including ordering in new parts. Very impressed at their communication and efficiency.

Asked for a quote on replacing 2 tyres, £77 each, no problem (the car was outside the building, they checked the tyres)
After the wheels and tyres were removed was told that they could only replace them with tyres that were £134 each because they were run flat tyres.
This left me with no option but to get the more expensive tyres.
The staff were apologetic about it but the cost was almost double the original price, and its not like I could have driven it elsewhere for alternatives at that point.

Staff tried to claim that things were wrong and needed doing when they didn't (my OH was a mechanic for years). I understand they might force the young tyre fitters to upsell to every customer, but they shouldn't try to frighten customers into spending money they genuinely don't need to.
