Never left a review for anything before but thought these guys were worth a mention. Took my 2010 Land Rover Discovery in for a service, timing belt and transmission/transfer/diff oil change. Mark and Craig are helpful and obliging and you really feel like they're working with you to get the job done. Had some minor concerns after the work was done so called in and they gave me the time and reassurance I needed to be on my way. Would definitely recommend.

Prompt response on arrival for my MOT which I booked online the previous day. Took less than an hour to do the MOT, fast friendly service. Job well done 👏

They my car all day, ( which was booked a week in advance) I rang them @ 5.15pm as I had not heard anything. Told that the car had not even been looked at. Rushed there to collect car. They just handed my keys to me , no explanation as to why it was not looked at and there was certainly no apology from them. What a waste of my day. No option to give no stars @ all.

A great service and mot at a good price. Great customer service, when I had my car done on 24/10. Thank you. Will see you same time next year. Tony

I live in Barry and was returning to Cwmbran to visit family. My car started badly juddering and the yellow engine light came on and a member of my family suggested I visit this garage to resolve the problem. I dropped the car off and was contacted a few days afterwards to advise the problem was the oxygen sensor and was assured that it was nothing else. I gave the go ahead to have the car fixed along with a service and was then brought all the way back to Cwmbran by family to pick the car up as they said the repairs were finished. I drove the car back to Barry and on the way back the juddering started and the yellow engine light came on and was extremely fearful I’d crash the car. I contacted the garage to express my concerns and the first person I spoke to didn’t really seem to care and said to bring the car back into the garage. I advised that as the car was back with me in Barry that it would be extremely dangerous to bring it back to Cwmbran and that the problem clearly hasn’t been fixed as they advised it was. I then spoke to the manager whose attitude and professionalism was absolutely disgusting. He kept repeating to bring the car back to Cwmbran despite constantly repeating that I couldn’t do that in the car’s state. He also stated they couldn’t collect the car but then stated he could get a tow company involved but that I’d have to pay the cost which is ridiculous; especially considering this is the fault of the garage. After further pleas to pick the car up and return it and to actually fix the problem I paid to have done; the manager ended up putting the phone down on me.

I’m now going to take the car to a local garage in my area to sort out the mess this garage has caused to my car and will be contacting trading standards. Do not go to this garage if you want your car looked after. Dreadful customer service and a lack of care from the staff and manager.

UPDATE : Second garage confirmed the wrong oxygen sensor had been replaced and that the service done on the car; double the amount of oil had been put into the car and one of the car breather’s was slightly crushed. Since this review was first posted, a CCJ has been served against Motazone Cwmbran and they now legally owe me the money I paid for the work. As expected, they have failed to respond to this and my messages on social media; requesting how I’ll be repaid. Clearly they know they’re at fault but don’t want to take responsibility for their mistake. Please please do not take your vehicle here, go elsewhere and save yourself the hassle.

Have had work done previously with no issue but my most recent trip will be my last.

Booked vehicle in for lights on dash, bearing/track rod end and to find oil leak.

£500 later the lights on the dash have been repaired along with bearing, discs and pads and a tyre. Oil leaks neither diagnosed nor repaired and told to get rid of it.

Drive away feeling that the brakes were no different to before. Had the chance to put it on a lift in work a few days later and have a fitter check it over. Diagnoses oil leak within 5 minutes and points out that aside from new zip ties for my wheel trims that my discs and pads had not been changed and were worn but not requiring replacement.

Avoid.

Booked an MOT for 10. Arrived at 0950 to allow extra time. Left at 1040 as the car hasnt moved for almost an hour. What is the point to book a time???
I had my car back once with the rear wheel put back loose.
I had my car back once without the locking wheelnuts.
Joke!
