Titus showed us the Roman sights and shared his wealth of knowledge of life in Roman Chester. The tour is great for young and old. There is not a lot of walking involved. Great jokes Titus.

We had a great tour with Titus today. He’s hugely knowledgeable about the Roman army, having a masters degree in Classics, and explains things very well and with great humour. We had a great time, although I would have enjoyed it even more if there had been more information specifically about Roman Chester (about which I know little) and less general info about the Roman army (about which I already knew quite a lot). Very enjoyable nevertheless. Thank you, Titus!

Had a really great tour this morning and we learned a lot! Was great to see another side to the city and really enjoyed the sites. Would highly recommend to learn about the Roman ways and some stuff still existing today. Thank you “ugly” for the tour and the wealth of knowledge! 😊

We had the lovely gentleman (the one at the back of the photo) take us on our tour. He was brilliant with his manner and information. We learned quite a bit and really enjoyed it.

If you go to Chester, we would recommend this tour - its both interesting and amusing -Cassius was a great guide. We took my mum who is a senior lady, she loved it, there were kids as young as five and they seemed to enjoy it too. As well as showing us the roman ruins around Chester, Cassius had props for us to look at and funny tales to tell.

It was a cold day and I was the only one on the tour, but that didn’t stop Gaius and Brutus from showing me around. They were both super nice and informative while also very conversational. This is an absolute must do in Chester and it is definitely the number one highlight of my trip here. Super glad I did this!

Our guide explained that chester had been continually occupied for 2000 years so lots had been lost to time. Through our soldiers excellent knowledge and narrative we were able to envision a great deal. I learnt a lot and my nine year old who had been studying the Romans loved it.
Our tour ran over by around 20mins mainly due to the soldiers brilliant interaction with the children. Our soldier Attius Caler patiently answered their questions with detail and enthusiasm.
Chesters sreets are old and many are cobbled, even so I managed to keep up with the tour with my son in his disability buggy.
You will need a hat if it is sunny.

I would definitely recommend this tour, especially if you're visiting Chester with children 8+. Our guide Titus provided us with interesting information and facts about the Romans and their influence on Chester. We all really enjoyed the tour!
