though was in need of updating to the extent that we had a damp bedroom caused by a leaking air conditioning unit. The tiny gym was terrible with all equipment faulty to the point of being unsafe and the mats were very dirty and smelt of stale sweat.
The local area and tours however were fabulous but felt that the 4 stars given to this hotel were not an honest reflection of it's condition. On returning to the UK I contacted Citalia to question this point /raise concerns over the safety of gym equipment and ask when this property was last visited by the travel company. In summary I received a series of email responses deflecting my questions so in the end I decided that my future travels to Italy would not involve this company but hopefully one that had an effective customer services department.
From the first point of contact, to our return journey, everything was perfect.
Flights,transfers, our fabulous hotel, and the mind blowing opera seats, all organised and booked as a package with them.
A very professional service, would recommend everytime
Rome, Sorrento, Sicily. Visiting loads of sights including Colosseum, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Pompeii to name a few.
The itinerary went like clockwork transfer pickup, drop-offs and train journeys were spot on. During the quotation period we were given 3 hotel options per destination of which we chose and the actual booking is made and final price is given.
All hotels were 4 star and service received was more like 5. We'll researched places to stay with fantastic facilities.
All transfers are private 8 seater Merc's taxis and trains are 1st class (one was bullet train).

My only point to note is the email correspondence, you need to sort the issue of attachments not being sent. Helen sorted this by converting docs to pdf and sending as attachment.
Would definitely use again when we go back.
