Lovely place to take little ones (or big ones) to watch the trains. Cheap platform tickets if you only want to watch.

Great day out for all the family, our two year old granddaughter loved the trains, they brought back many memories for me. The station staff were lovely very knowledgeable and the cafe on the stations were nice. I must visit the train workshop on my next visit.

Nice eatery just off the station platforms accessed via the car park. The station is a typical Great Central island station, kept as original as can be. All the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. You can purchase tickets from the ticket office on the platform for train travel. There is also a small refreshment bar on the platform. All told, a really good place to visit and enjoy the good old days of steam rail.

Lovely place to spend a few hours train spotting or just watching the trains just come and go,very clean and tidy, nice little cafe and model railway to look at, tickets can get a bit pricey if you have a family but worth it, we have visited a few of the special events here and always had a great time,we sometimes just come for a coffee and sit to see what comes and goes

Great place for viewing and filming on the fantastic GCR. Brilliant 1940's weekend and despite lousy weather great time at Autumn Steam Gala.
