Had a great day out on the little trains. Spent time in New Romney and Dungeness. Enjoyed the model railway and enjoyed spotting lots of different trains. Would recommend wrapping up warm if travelling in the open carriages.

Came here for a footplate ride experience, I was scheduled to ride along with Phil on Southern Maid and I found it to be the most therapeutic and awesome experience I've ever had! Beautiful scenery, wonderful people, lovely memories and a complete joy of a day.
I highly recommend that anyone with a flare for railways give this a visit and definitely if you can hop on the footplate, it's an experience to not be missed!

Will definitely come again!

Visited while on holiday and had an absolute amazing time, visited romney sands holiday park and saw these lovely ladies every day as they went past and rode them, had an absolute fanatic time and I can't wait to ride these engines again in October and hopefully get to drive one.

Will be looking to voliteer here in the near future once we've moved closer

All the engines are stunning and very beautifull and you can see the pride the drivers have in them and there's a lot of magic for such amazing machines.

Glad my farther in law who saw these engines 70 years ago kepted saying we needed too see them and made his 80th birthday special, thank you for such an amazing time and the staff especially at the workshop who took the time to speak too us and make the visit that extra special. Tha k you guys and keep up the stunning work you do.

Absolute exhilarating experience, we parked at Romney; where there is ample parking plus three spaces right outside the station for disabled parking. Great ticket office and souvenir shop available.
Childrens play area available while you are waiting.
Great station area under cover, long platforms.
Multiple carriages available, genuine steam trains albeit a smaller version but absolutely fantastic.

We traveled from Romney to Dymchurch and onto Hythe and return. Probably an hour round trip.

We paid 2 x £19 adult
1 x £9.50 child.

Well worth the expense. Incredibly friendly staff everywhere. Brilliant 🤩 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great for families and anyone wanting to experience the original world's smallest public railway which runs from Hythe to Dungeness. Could not fault the facilities. Absolutely A1***** Toilets perfectly spotless, cafes are great, stations are scrupulously clean, staff are so welcoming. A lovely day out, all round, and so much to see and do too. All day parking was free at Hythe too.

Worth going upstairs to see the model railway which is very sweet, with plenty of buttons for children to press, really entertaining tiny details and quirks (furry rat on the line!) The little locomotives stop at red lights, disappear in tunnels and reappear. Bit dusty but well loved by volunteers and something for all ages in here.

Had to give it a try, kids loved it. Nice scenary during the ride. Staffs at the station were all friendly. The facilities were great with the gift shops, toilets and a play area for the kids ideal when waiting for the train. I got persuaded to buy a booklet but good for memory 😁. Ideal day out and experience for the kids. Thanks alot

My Dad had the best day on his Silver driving experience.
Alex and Tom were great, the ‘dream team!’
They made the experience fun and enjoyable for not just my Dad, but for the whole family.
A absolute must for any steam train enthusiast!
Thank you RHDR, these two are a credit to your team!
And we can’t forgot the lovely Mel who sorted us out with hot drinks and cooked our breakfast and lunch with a constant smile on her face! 🙂
