Punting in Cambridge is one of our main itinerary. The tourist guide are amazing while doing the punting they are narrating the history of the places that we pass through. It is very informative and a fascinating experience also. It is affordable and you will see the great views .

The famous Bridge of Sighs of Cambridge! I think it is best enjoyed from the river. To go punting with class, I recommend you take sparkling wine and nibbles! You will notice that both sides of the bridge look different: one side has elaborated ornaments and the other not. I have been told that the fellows' side is decorated but the students don't get the pretty view! :'(

This is a sight worth seeing, one of the defining views of Cambridge. Now, there's one problem, it's not viewable from the public road. You have 2 choices if you want to see it with your own eyes. Firstly, you can take a punt, but this gives a much briefer view. Secondly, you can pay St. John's College £10 each (free for Cambridge residents). Some people enter through other entrances, apparently! Obviously, that is something I cannot advocate, obviously 😄.The picture that isn't of the bridge is taken from inside the bridge.

You can only view this bridge by punting or by entering st John's College at £11 a person. please note that kitchen Bridge is closed so you can't take pictures of the bridge of Sighs from kitchen Bridge.

No point paying £11 to cross the bridge. I suggest anyone who wants to have a visit come by punting rather than paying a fee to get in the campus. Tbh, I have never seen a university charing visitors to pay a visit to their campus, no one university in Australia.

There is a service at 6.30 (Evensong) that allows you to enter St. John’s College even if it’s closed to visitors. Once you’re in, go through the courts until you reach the river Cam.
