A family ticket (2 adults, 2 children) will cost you just under £39.
There is 2 small play parks, a soft play, miniature villages, train carriages containing a ball pit, a large sandpit, wooden play track and trains, model railways, etc.
There are 2 small trains you can go on that run about every 1/2 hour and take you through a large display of gnomes.
There is a nice cafe next to one of the play parks with indoor and outdoor seating.
There is also a small well priced gift shop that you pass through as you leave - you cannot avoid it 😊
The kids loved it and the lovely Bickleigh Mill next door👍

We came here with my two nieces aged 5 and 6. They both loved it. Its a small space and not really a place to stay all day. But there was plenty for the children to do, including mini golf, 2 indoor play areas, two mini train rides and a play area. There is a coffee shop there as well.

Visited today with my husband and 4yr old son to break up a long drive home to West Sussex. We arrived around lunch time and parked for free no problems.
Surprisingly it was lovely and quiet! My son adored and was in ore of the model railway inside the carriages! It was fab and we spent a long time watching the trains.
We spent the entire afternoon exploring and playing. Loved the gnomes!! Cafe was inexpensive but bog standard no frills food. Toilets clean and staff welcoming!
We had a lovely day here and we all really enjoyed it. Not too big and exhausting to get around and is pitched for under 7s. My son also enjoyed the soft play, train and sand pit.

We went with my family of 5. Two adults, 8 yr old, 1.5 yr old and 28weeks baby. Do not go straight for carpark. Their carpak is on the left side or in the right side. You can buy ticket on site and prepare some 20 pence and £1 for some ride/s that is coin operated and in the museum, the 20pence to move the trains. It has a lot of things to enjoy inside. Our toddler enjoyed the indoor play, sand pit, soft play and the ball pit. Our 8 yr old enchanced his knowledge with trains and locomotive engines. The food is fine and a bit pricey, for example £4 for a piece of a twisted pizza. However, there was a picnic area anyways. Also, the place was buggy/pram friendly. The staff was great as well. If you are planning coming here, I personally suggest to have a good picture with all the gnomes. Enjoy and hmake more happy memories❤️

Anyone under 7 will enjoy visiting, slightly older kids are less likely to be entertained unless they like model trains) but both my kids (7 & 9) had a good time. I would recommend to anyone with younger kids.

Inexpensive to get in. It is very basic overall but it is also dramatically cheaper than most other places. I gave it 5 stars as I think it's great but I don't think it was ideal for my kids at their age but they still enjoyed the crazy golf, indoor play and the model trains.

Had a lovely day out here yesterday with my daughter and two small Grand-children. There’s so much to see and do and it’s so well spaced out so never too over-crowded although it did get busy.
Yes there are a few extras which require a pound, 50p or 20p but there’s so much else to see and do, you don’t have to do them and you just say no to your children as there’s so many other free things to do.
My Grandson was so proud to hold and wave the green flag on the train for the lovely driver.
We had the best day.
Thank-you so much Devon Railway Centre for helping us to make such special memories.

Wonderful day out for 6 & 4 year old gran children. All train rides are FREE! Cost £39.30 2 adults and 2 children. You only have to pay for a very few rides 20p or 50p, cafe fair priced. Nice soft play area and a few railway carriage with model trains running and Brio train set to play with, also a ball pit. Only bad point on stinking hot day 35° there was no shade while waiting for train rides, both run every 30 mins.
