Great place to visit. I remember coming here as a child on a school trip. Hasn't changed that much - other than the main part being barred off. Shame really, but definitely worth a visit. Was quite foggy when we went

What an amazing place. Me,my wife and our dogs were on a breakaway and went on a few walks and when we came across this walk up to the Victoria cave,it blew me and my wife Karen away. The views are spectacular, even with 4-5inches of snow, made it a little harder to climb to the top but the views and wild life alone on the way up,was amazing and the fly over from a tornado jet, just put the cherry on it. AMAZING place

I read on a walking site that there was an information plaque detailing what was once found here, unfortunately this is no longer here. However, I have since read online that there were Neolithic finds of spear heads and animal bones such as rhinoceros! There are barriers in place now to protect the cave.

Further exploration is requested by a polite sign to not venture past, due to fragility of formations.
If. You've travelled a long way to see the cave, it may be a disappointment without going round the barrier.
Expect wet, muddy and potentially very slippy Limestone.
There are no grandiose formations, so unless your the adventurous type, you won't feel let down.
*SPOILER ALERT*
please don't look at all the pictures if you have more than a passing interest... See it for your self in your own perception 👍
Unfortunately further into the cave system there is littering... Some of it very old, some of it more recent.

People... It weighed little enough for you to carry it into the Dales... It would have been far lighter to carry it back with you. PLEASE DO NOT LITTER.

Long narrow passage with extra room at the bottom leading out somewhere above as there is a slither of light seeping in.
A good walk up to it however it follows the route from jubilee cave.
A bit of a climb but overall worth a look.

A cool cave. You can explore a little more here too, but bring a headtorch and be careful if attempting to explore the smaller caves as they can just dip down quite fast

This is a free to visit cave ...it's hard going if your not fit or in wet weather.
Not suitable for wheelchairs or people who lack balance best to visit in warmer weather with children the path way can be muddy and slippery .
.there are a few caves and they are quite interesting to see remember to take rubbish home with you and pay attention to your surroundings many of the rocks you'll see came from the ceiling of the cave..
The views of the surrounding countryside are stunning .

Was a lovely and peaceful walk. Was a little long for the kids but they managed it. And it was well worth the walk to see the caves. There is a small one first but if you keep walking there is another which is alot bigger. We loved looking at it. A little adventure. It's not pram accessible tho. There isnt much room to park but plenty on space on the side of the road
We just parked a bit away and walked down. Lovley family day out
