Lovely experience going on a steam train. Volunteers are lovely and knowledgeable. Welsh country side is just gorgeous. Loved every minute of it.

Came across the W&LLR station by accident - saw the tourist attraction sign on the road and was curious to see what's there. Happened to come right before the station gets closed when one of the refurbished ~1900's steam train was being cleaned out at the end of the day. One of the engineers, Chris, kindly showed us around the station and the train. The refurbished steam train is definitely a sight worth seeing - it's kept neat and clean.

Wonderful light stream railway with original restored carriages and engine. The staff are all really friendly and helpful. Loved it!

What a lovely experience going on the train was! Fairly priced and the staff were fantastic in explaining the history and giving us plenty of opportunities to take photos and videos.

Staff were wonderful and so knowledgeable about the route and how the train works, we stood on the back outside part of the carriage for part of the journey, absolutely wonderful. Super nostalgic trip back to childhood. We took the 2hr round trip, was so worth it.

A fantastic visit. We booked an afternoon cream tea box journey. The volunteer staff were friendly and informative. They couldn't do enough to make sure we had a great day. Wouldn't hesitate to go back again, absolutely loved it!

Nice little steam route, with nice staff and certainly worth the price with the 2 hour return journey. End carriages can get very busy with people wanting to stand behind the loco, but thankfully nobody hogged the view at the expense of others when we travelled.

We had a very enjoyable time on the Santa Express. The staff were great! Everyone was friendly and helpful. The train was superbly presented but because the focus of the visit was spent on our grandchildren I didn’t pay enough attention to it and the wonderful scenery we travelled through. We shall return in the summer to experience the whole line.
