Really enjoyed our trip on the railway today. Great fun trundling along to the different stops. We went right to the end and did a little 1 mile loop to see the river and cascading waterfalls. It did rain A LOT on our way back, and as we were in the open carriages, we did get quite wet! All the volunteers were lovely and friendly.

One of my favourite heritage railways and I've been on quite a few! Lots of railways offer beautifully restored engines and carriages but very few can rival the glorious scenery that Talyllyn boasts. The scenery only gets more beautiful when you hop off the train and hike up to the waterfalls that lie beyond the station. Admittedly it's not a cheap day out but I firmly believe it's great value. The museum and cafe at the main station are also excellent. Don't forget your blue light discount.

A wonderful experience around some stunning landscapes and all for a very good price. Dog friendly and great fun for all ages (coming from a family ranging from age 10-76). Couldn't have asked for a better day out, even with butter weather!

First ride on the Talyllyn for 30 years, friendly reception with well polished engines & clean carriages. Lovely to see the enhanced museum & Rev Awdrey 's old study.
Pleased I made the effort to visit the railway.

It is always a pleasure to visit this railway. The train had reservations for compartments which ensured a pleasant journey up the valley.
A lovely cafe at Towyn and a coffee shop at Abergynolwyn helped to make it a very enjoyable time.

A great place to visit on a wet day. They have a museum full of interesting stuff, and a cafe with a good selection of food. The train ride on the miniature railway was also great with good views of the countryside.

Well presented heritage railway. Everything has been kept looking nice. The staff were all friendly and welcoming. The trip has great views, the food and drink is reasonably priced and all tasted good, well worth every penny spent.
