Went for the sunset and enjoyed the place. Guess its a good place for surfers too.

Great beach for the kids, not all sandy, some stone, but brilliantly flat and great for kids to do some exploring. Added to this, you can park on the beach so you can have all of your 'bits and bobs' to hand.

Big beach, no parking, no facilities and so quiet as a result. Worth a visit for a big empty beach,

My family have been coming her for three generations. We love it! The beach is lovely and great for picnics and water sports. People are friendly and it’s just a lovely place. We have a caravan on penrhyn bay so it’s a short walk to Sandy beach. (My dog loves it) Enjoy!
