Love this place, especially our dog Wilson loves walking through the wooded area.
Great place for families on a lovely sunny day, to have a picnic watching the paddle boarding and the sailing boats! But even on a sunny day it does get windy on the grass/picnic area!
Two great café and toilet facilities

Nice place to come for a walk and look at the view. Cafe was fine, only had drinks but menu looked reasonable and offer a balcony to really take in the views of the reservoir. Beware of the car park as you pay at a pay station, but I thought I had paid via contactless, but when it didn't show on my online banking I decided to pay a second time via their app as I didn't fancy a £100 fine...turns out the first payment hadn't gone through but no indication from the machine that there was an issue. Paid it through the app with same card and no problem. I could have left thinking I had paid, but because I had seen a review with the same issue I went on the side of caution. Glad I did. Trying to contact the car park firm resulted in a msg saying to email them the query so I couldn't check in the first instance whether the payment had gone through the car park machine....apart from that though, the place is worth a visit.

Very nice place for a walk big café , dog friendly inside the building too!
More carpark in different levels 20mins free parking after that pay and park don’t need to display as when you enter in the car park camera take a picture of your car in this way easy to pay and don’t need to walk back to the car with the ticket! From car park to café accessible by wheelchair!
Parking fee £3 for all day no other options!

Lovely setting. First time to visit, only 30 mins from home. Definitely a place to visit again.

Easy to locate this reservoir. Parking not a problem to find and good disabled access. Single charge for all day parking so well worth an extended stay. Good little visitor centre with free guides available alongside a very clean and tidy cafe with homemade produce. Sit down meals available including a children's menu reasonably priced. There are levels of walks available for all abilities making this an easy going day put; plenty of space for a picnic around the site too.

Great place for gentle paddle boarding, dingy sailing and generally messing about on the reservoir. Well equipped hiring cabin, decent enough cafe, and some great woodland trails if you prefer that.

This is a great place to visit for picnics and walking, the car park is only £3 for the whole day. It has a lovely cafe overlooking the reservoir for coffees and food.

We chose kayaking and canoeing on the water, we hired equipment which was reasonably priced and had lots of fun.

We also tried axe throwing for the first time, our Instructor Pete was really friendly, knowledgeable and made our experience great fun.

We had a fantastic day out and will definitely be going back to try the other activities 😁.

I recently booked a £70 pike fishing boat day, something i have done before, and had an enjoyable time. On arrival it was clear it was going to be almost pointless. The water level is so low, that all the bays and coves you would expect to fish are dried up, majority of areas covered by water are very shallow. What you’re essentially presented with is a barren puddle surrounded by sand, no features where you would expect to fish. Left at 12pm when I was booked till 5pm, felt like a waste of time. I think they should be offering refunds if people request them or warning people that the fishing season is dire and difficult due to the drought. From what I gather only one fish has come out from 20 days x 6 boats.
