Only opened recently to replace the closed tourist information centre in the car park. Visit Brecon has been set up by the Brecon Town Council to provide tourists and locals with a much needed information hub. It is staffed by one experienced person plus a willing team of volunteers. The interior whilst small already contains much of the original displays and leaflets with plans to develop further over time. A great start and somewhere I definitely recommend you visit.

I use the new Visit Brecon centre to look for ideas and events for my local beaver scout group. The centre is easy to find in the town and there is a short stay car park almost next to it.The staff inside are local and have all the up to date information to hand. They are able to help with computer plus paper information.Lots of maps available to buy and copies of the town map free.I needed information on walks in the Talybont on Usk area and canal area and picked up the free copies of that area which were great.Neatly laid out.Large display map inside is most helpful.Willing to help with accommodation needs and travel.Worth a visit.

This is an amazing place to get all the information about Brecon and the surrounding areas. The two main persons who were very helpful and courteous are Tuff and Amanda. Tuff was very knowledgeable and informative. We had explicit information about how to enjoy our stay in Wales. Highly recommended. Thank you and God bless.

Very useful, the lady who advised me about the area was very pleasant and helpful. If visiting the Brecon it should be your 1st point of call.

Please update your opening hours online. Tried to call in on Sunday, 11 September only to find new hours on the door - closed on Sundays!

Visited couple of weeks ago after lockdown easing. Stepped through door and found I was contained in a metre square area cordoned off with rope.

Staff member leapt up and told me don't move you can't step in. Said I wanted to browse shop. Staff member Told me I couldn't. Insisted she would handle anything I wanted.

Explained I wanted to browse and had no scenics in mind.

Told it wasn't happening.

I was masked. I have had two Pfizer vaccinations. I had visited the Crickhowell visitor Centre earlier that day. Friendly greeting, sensible social distancing.

I was sad to see how Brecon seems to be struggling economically. If the histrionics I was met with are typical God help Brecon
