The ticket office has limited hours but you can buy a ticket from the machines at other times. If running late for a Gatwick bound train, be careful not to get trapped behind the level crossing barrier

The trains are usually on time but the reception is very small and can get very crowded sometimes and if you want to go to the opposite platform you will need to go around as there is no underground stairway system. But there is also a ticket machine on platform two.

A traditional railway station on the North Downs Line. Loco hauled passenger trains pass through occasionally.

Arrive in plenty of time because otherwise you'll be stood on the wrong platform watching your train pull in and go with no way to cross to the right platform because the path to the crossing point is not accessible. I was there a couple of minutes early and the gate preventing access to cross was already down.

Carpark is a joke. Paying ridiculous prices for an absolute dump of a car par, even the entrance looks like a messy building site. Embarrassing.

On time n good service from this station. Not much busy station. A big car park next to it. Ticket office close early but other option is ticket machine.
