Fewer facilities than you'd expect for a station with transport links like this. The station itself is functional if not a little run down and miserable. Avoid the public toilets if you can help it

Quiet and good station.Construction was a bit complicated but enough informations about the platforms so we were not confused where we should go and wait till train comes. thank you.

It's not the best train station around, but it doesn't necessarily have to be. To be fair, Tamworth is a comparatively small city, so there's really no need for a gigantic glammed-up train station, when this one still serves it's purpose. I had an okay time/experience here. My main issue, however, is tied to certain inconveniences I experienced here. The first is a lack of power outlets for customer use. My phone was almost dead and I desperately needed to charge, but there are hardly any power outlets around, unlike some other train station. Secondly, there's no spaces for sitting while you wait for your train. This can be quite frustrating and inconvenient, especially if your train is still a long way off.

A historic town with a castle to take the little ones round and there are plenty of shops for the adults. With the variety of places to eat you will never go Hungary . Also visit the small Saturday market .

Cold and dirty with limited seating/waiting rooms. There is a waiting room on the ground floor adjacent to platform 1 (the only warm, comfortable waiting room) however this is kept locked due to ‘staff shortages’ according to the railway personnel who asked everyone in there to leave. Not sure why it’s affected by staffing levels as there weren’t any staff in there, or any of the other waiting rooms. Pretty grim place to be honest, so avoid delays at this station if you can. Has a few vending machines but no where decent/comfortable. :(

Good station, sensible security staff, coffee shop shop early but has a regular train service
