I came all the way from Brazil especially to do the Audio Engineering course at SSR London. When I saw the pictures of their Neve studio on their website, I just needed to put my hands on that desk! Luckily they were very helpful and the course was amazing. I learned all about Music Production / Music Technology / Audio Engineering / Post-Production / Sound Design / Dubbing / Film and TV and much much more.
All the tutors are great people and fun but professional, especially Mr. Espinosa (Head of Audio / Post Production)and Mr. Lidbetter (Pro Tools / Logic Pro expert), who both basically changed my life forever teaching me all that I needed to know to make it in the Audio Engineering Industry. Now, 6 months after I finished the course, I’ve got a job engineering in a studio as well as helping out at SSR sometimes too when they hire out their studios commercially. Everything is going great and I’m so glad I made the decision to learn here. Some of fellow students are now working for the BBC, at The Roundhouse and freelance in post-production on feature films. They have amazing industry connections and all the tutors are currently working in the industry which is so important. They also let students come in and use the facilities as much as they want during their course and even after you have finished the course you are allowed to use the facilities at a much cheaper rate than any other similar studio set up.
I have heard of other courses where the tutors are basically retired from the industry or not actively working in the fields they are teaching in, so I am happy I learnt from people who are still active in that industry. As part of the course I also completed an (optional) NCFE Foundation degree (equivalent to a university degree but in 2 years, so quicker and much cheaper in total than uni!), Pro Tools 101, 110 and 201, Logic 101, and the SSR Diploma which is an industry recognised qualification. I can’t thank the guys at SSR enough and guarantee anyone who does any of their courses will not be disappointed.

Started studying in April 2014. The course is very well done of what I've experienced so far. The studio has great facilities and great experiences for students. After two months I gained some work experience working with Boiler Room TV, working in the very fancy Neve Studio. I had an amazing time working as an engineer's assistant, also working with the band and the TV crew. If your interested in Production or engineering I would definitely recommend studying at SSR. I went to university studying a similar course however it wasn't great. SSR beats university everyday of the week. Study here!

I'm just completing phase 1 of the ssr audio engineering course. It's a great place to learn how to engineer and the recording facilities made available to students are excellent. I would recommend enrolling to anyone who wants to get to grips with audio engineering in a friendly, hands-on environment.

I just completed my 18 months Audio Engineering and Advance Post Production course and I would recommend it to both experienced or, like me, people with just passion, love for music/audio without any relevant previous studies or experiences in the industry.
Thanks to this course I had the opportunities to work on various projects using industry standard equipment and gaining enough experience to feel confident with using them.
I just started my career in one of the best Post Production Houses in London and I will be always thankful to the Tutors, the Staff and the great people I met at SSR.

I am just about to finish the 'Audio Engineering Techniques & Technology Course' at SSR London including the 'Advanced Audio Post Production' module. During my studies I began to work at an Audio Post Production studio in London.

The technical and practical knowledge I have gained from the course has certainly helped me rise through the ranks. The Pro Tools training has ensured I have a sound understanding of how to operate the leading software in audio-post, which I use on a daily basis.

I would recommended anyone wanting a career in audio to contact the school as the both the 'Audio Engineering Techniques & Technology' and 'Advance Audio Post Production' courses can help open doors, but more importantly give you a sound understanding of the necessary workflows needed to work professionally within the industry. As well as teaching you how to work to broadcast standards and making professional contacts.

I am a DJ and Filmmaker and decided to do the Audio Engineering Course at SSR London to improve my audio and music production skills to help with both my DJing and Filmmaking. I already had a degree in filmmaking so wasn’t sure if I wanted to go back to school again, although now I am so glad I did because unlike uni courses the Audio Engineering Course (which is recognised by all leading employers in the Audio and Post Production Industries) is really vocational and hands on which is so important on a course like this.I am really enjoying my course, it is quite intense but I love a challenge and all the guys at SSR as so passionate about sound and really know their stuff. It’s great being surrounded by so many audiophiles to share their vast amount of knowledge with us. The tutors all work in the industry too which helps you get a really good perspective on using the techniques you are learning in the real world. There are also opportunities for work experience helping out with the sessions at SSR when bands come in to be recorded and lots of other cool things too.

Before taking the course I had tried making music a few times using Ableton Live but now I am not only confident using Ableton, Logic Pro and Pro Tools but also using a mixture of digital and analogue equipment through various mixing decks and even recording live instruments to use within my music, which is something I hadn’t even thought of doing before. Not only is it helping with my music making but also with my knowledge of sound, music and recording in general. This has also helped me with my film making so I can record audio much more confidently and professionally.

Really good course. Get to use a lot of industry standard equipment and lots of amazing guest lectures from a variety of people in the business; from artist managers to producers and agents. I have learnt so much on this course and could not have reached this level of production without it. Big up yourself.
