I've flown with Cambrian as a passenger a couple of times, and the experience has been brilliant. It was great to be up in the sky over South Wales and totally feel comfortable! The club has a great fleet of aircraft which seems to be ever expanding, the staff there are welcoming to anyone no matter how interested in flying you are, and the onsite facilities are more than capable with demands. If you ever get the opportunity to fly, I cannot fault flying with Cambrian one bit!

I have been learning to fly at Cambrian since March 2015, and find that it is a friendly and professional organisation. The Instructors are immensely knowledgable and patient. The facilities are fine, and once airborne the scenery is sensational. The school also run a weekly groundschool, which helps you to pass the exams that you need. An added bonus is that Swansea airport has no 'heavy' traffic, so you fly during a lesson, rather than have to wait for the big stuff to land. Highly reccomended.

My wife decided to treat me to a Trial Flight in a light aircraft as a surprise wedding anniversary present but after going to some of the Flying Clubs in South/West Wales she went to Swansea Airport as a last resort (we live in Swansea and did not think of our own small airport!) but what a friendly welcome we had compared especially to some we went to! It is a family run Flying Club with excellent Instructors and Examiners and we had such a great time I decided to fulfil my life long dream of learning to fly there. They carry out all the training in house, including Ground School (classroom) and unlike some of the hobbies I've done during my life, quite a lot cheaper than I expected. You can also choose your aircraft from a large selection from both the Cessna and Piper manufacturers and they are maintained from what I have seen to a very high standard (retired mechanical engineer). If you already have a pilots licence then they offer full hire facilities too, although, with only a third of my training done so far that may have to wait for about a year for me. What I particularly like is the club/social type atmosphere which many clubs seemed to lack when we visited the other establishments!

Proper club flying school, not a PPL factory. Great, dedicated instructors, good social side, fly-outs and evening safety events. Comfy sofa, kettle always on. Learned with them years ago and still pop in for a chat whenever I fly in!

Do NOT use this company. They do not respond to telephone calls or emails. We have been trying to contact them for 10 weeks to book a flight using a gift voucher purchased from a third party. We have now received a refund as Cambrian have been unable to fulfill their obligation. Shocking service.
