Station for London underground and c2c services in zone 4. Very crowded, poorly maintained and no escalators. There are lot of shops bars and restaurants nearby. There are even quick bite eateries in the platforms which are good.

Beautiful station. Easy access to get all around London. Also I cannot wait when they will open new beautiful station after building work.

Had to change trains here this morning. The Breathe easy ads in the underpass are ironic. You need to hold your breath down there as it is clearly used as a urinal on a regular basis. It absolutely reeks! Feel sorry for the station staff. Quite possibly they clean it on a regular basis but are clearly fighting a losing battle.

In terms of the services itself, this station is rly good!- with it having District, H & City, c2c & L. Overground services- it is a great station for commuting to central London new riverside, west London and towards Southend. HOWEVER. This station is prone to become very overcrowded, it is anything but pretty and the views down the line are meh at best. It can also be quite confusing as to which train operator stops where as all 4 share platforms. So to conclude, this is one of my least faviourte stations out of the 128 I have been to so far at the time of writing (18/08)

Station toilets are not open & this has been at least 3 months as they were the same last time I was here. Everyone is directed to go & use Costa or similar opposite the station, but that’s not great if you have a connection to catch at busy times & you may have already traveled an hour to get to here. You can’t always guarantee a working toilet on the train either, so could be like me with a trip of 2 hrs door to door which is a long time!

Absolutely awful at keeping passengers informed! Changing platform at the time the train is actually due at the station is not an acceptable service. Even the staff there to help didn’t have a clue what was going on. Really poor performance

An absolutely run-down, unsafe and unsightly station which needs a proper revamp. The local area’s ammenities could do with much improvement and modernisation to improve the general appeal. Good links but C2C has been a pain for the few times I have used it.

This needs an improvement, that's for sure. Although it is a good connection for the far of East London since it's totally impractical using the bus if you're on the other side of the city, so taking the underground is the best way to go. But a little improvement would be very welcome, the outside of the station just seems abandoned.
