To get off the train here you need to ask the conductor on the train. To get on the train, you need to make your intent clear by putting your arm out. You will usually know when the driver acknowledges your request bye sounding the horn

This station is a request stop and in order for the train to stop is to tell the conducter of the train and if you are on the platform you must make your intent clear. This station used to be a junction and the trail is the remnants of that railway line

Great views of Barmouth and it's bridge. Morfa Mawddach Train station is an unmanned request stop on the Cambrian train line, with trains inland to Birmingham international via Machynlleth, Aberystwyth on the west coast and north to Pwllheli. You have to wave the driver to request the train to collect you on the platform, and alert the conductor upon alighting for the train to stop. You can buy your tickets on the train. Morfa has a free car park and a public toilets open during the holidays, with an easy access loo. There are no littler bins in the area due to rubbish attracting wildlife like foxes. Visitors are encouraged to help keep the area clean by taking litter away when they leave.
