The Thameslink train service is a quick way to get into central London from Elstree. Been commuting from this station quite often and have found the service into town (Kings Cross) to be fairly reliable. The service back again in the evening is crowded but is fast.

The interesting architecture has contributed to making Elstree & Borehamwood a more attractive environment. On a recent trip to London I found this major station to be clean, easy to navigate and with plentiful good amenities. No complaints!

What was the point of up "upgrading" this place? The two shops were expanded and yet the actual important part which is the amount of turnstiles was not improved. This mean endless waiting when trying to get in and out the station was not improved....

The station is wheelchair accessible, has got toilets after getting in, ticket machine at the entrance and also 2 or 3 staff most of the time. There is a Costa Coffee with access to both sides, street and platform. Outside and inside seats are available. Bus stops are right outside the station, there is a drop-off area and the car park is near by with entrance via Theobald Street.
