Arrived at Lichfield TV station Saturday morning to travel to London. Having never pre booked before or indeed travelled to London via train before. I required some guidance from the ticket kiosk staff. I honestly have never met such a rude and unhelpful person. She was truly very rude and ignorant I hope she never finds herself looking for help in a similar circumstance. .

I was unlucky enough to find myself at this station one cold evening, having been persuaded by the man in the ticket office at Four Oaks station that I would be better off changing trains at Lichfield Trent Valley to get to Nuneaton rather than travelling via Birmingham.

Big mistake! I had almost 45 minutes wait for my next train. There is no waiting room at this station and there are no refreshments available, not even a vending machine. I eventually arrived home cold, hungry and thirsty.

Never again. I now avoid Lichfield Trent Valley station like the plague!

Car parking runs 24 hours from 4am to 3.59am. so less than 24 hours in London will be 2 days parking for me at £8 per day. Rail travel to London super off-peak. 28 quid. Parking 16 quid. Very poor. Very unimpressed. Why isn't it rolling 24 hours. Won't use this station again!

Would of given 5 but lack of litter bins meant we were forced to either create a mess or carry our litter with us (obvs we did the latter)

Fantastic and classic old station, makes a change from all the modern stations out there. In a lovely part of the country. Kept in good and clean condition. Due to age maybe some accessibility issues, however pre booked help or onsite staff available to assist, although not at all times so if you're a wheelchair user and travelling say late, not the ideal station unless you have someone travelling with you. I love the sign that shows distance between London and Glasgow, nice touch. Doesn't have the range of usual creature comforts, but what do you expect from a small regional station. Usually used as a connection station.
