Fresh Escapes

We stayed in the Penthouse in Exeter/Devon. It was the best Airbnb experience we’ve had. The unit was beautiful and centrally located. We walked everywhere in Exeter and looked forward to coming home to the property. I look forward not only staying on this property again, but other Fresh Escapes properties too as I now trust how beautifully maintained they are. Highly recommend.

We had a lovely 4 night break in Haldon View. Clean, very well equipped and spacious - even when full and including 3 young children! Lovely garden. Excellent location, quiet but only a short distance to shops and beach. Would highly recommend.

The Apartment was very comfy, clean and modern but by far the best thing about it is the view looking out onto the harbour and bay. Loved sitting out on the terrace early evening with a few drinks listening to the busker down by the sea front. Parking was easy as well always found a spot clean by on the street.

Had a lovely stay at Huxham View in Exeter. Spotlessly clean inside, fantastic views. Response to my queries were dealt with promptly. A few days before our stay I asked for reassurance that the BBQ would be clean and asked about whether chemicals would needed to be added to the hot tub and whether tester strips would be left. I was reassured that all would be fine and to call if there were any problems.
Unfortunately the BBQ wasn't clean but cleaners were sent at 4.30 (I had asked for earlier but this was not possible), the cleaners did a good job in the time they had but at 6pm we had to ask them to leave, as this had already delayed our plans. Three of the beds also did not have bed sheets over the mattress protector, again sorted the following day but we were told that the owner had not provided enough bedding for the size of this property.
We followed the rules for the hot tub showering before etc, on Sunday the display on the hot tub showed filter clean was overdue by 6 days we had only been there 2 days (see picture). I am sure had we reported it to Fiona on Sunday she would have tried to resolve it but we did not want more maintenance people to interrupt our stay as this had already happened on the Saturday.
Outside area had not been thoroughly cleaned, fully accept that cobwebs, bird droppings can happen after a clean but some of this had been there for some time.
Overall experience was great, however the bbq and hot tub concerns had been raised before our stay and I feel that not enough attention was given to this. Housekeeping had been asked to check prior to our stay so not sure what happened. Tester strips for the hot tub had been promised but had not been left for us either.
For the overall fee we paid I feel that everything should have been almost perfect. The reply I received is that all my feed back would be passed to the cleaners, owners and pool maintenance company. However, nothing in their reply showed they take responsibility for this but instead implied that it was us not following hot tub rules, the cleaners and maintenance.
That said the property is a lovely place to stay.

We have just got back from a fabulous week at The Terrace in Teignmouth! The house was beautiful and was in the perfect location for beach days with the kids! It was beautifully decorated, spacious and comfortable a true home away from home! The team at Fresh Escapes went above and beyond for us, the TV broke and it was quickly replaced even being delivered by James on his day off to be installed about an hour later! Thank you so much for such a wonderful stay we will definitely be looking to you for future ‘escapes!’

Had a great time, it was exactly as described, and more. The location was fantastic. So peaceful, with the sound of some cows early in the morning from a few fields away, to the sounds of birds. On a clear night, the night sky was quite amazing.

The Barn itself was so spacious and well layed out to give a very relaxing feel. There was also plenty of games, including table tennis to keep you (and the kids) entertained.

James from Fresh Escapes was excellent at communication and was a top host.

We used Fresh Escapes for a short break to Babbacombe, the transaction was pain free and the communication was good.

We felt very at home and there were some nice additions such as Coffee machine, Netflix, blankets for the sofa. The apartment is a 2 minute walk to Babbacombe downs with access down to the beach. Several local pubs and chip shop are within 5 minutes as is a Tesco Express for supplies. Would recommend staying here.

There is not huge amounts to do in Babbacombe but this is a good base for local attractions and towns and the apartment is a short walk to the model village which we all thoroughly enjoyed.

We stayed in harbour breeze on Torquay harbour front for 3 nights and it was beautiful! The location ,the apartment and the whole booking process was fantastic. Simon the owner met us on arrival and gave us the keys and showed us around and helped fill our hot tub up he was very accommodating and helpful. The apartment it’s self was outstanding! Modern & warm! We didn’t experience any loud noise from outside or the restaurants next door as seen on some reviews and we stayed Thursday - Sunday . Within walking distance to all the pubs shops harbour and much more! Perfect location! The hot tub tops of the whole experience sitting on the balcony over looking the harbour on a cold autumn night with a glass of Prosecco was lovely ! We will definitely be returning and using fresh escapes again for our next trip in august! Highly recommend! Thanks again for a great stay :)
