No1 Lounge

Used the No1 lounge again this year and it was everything we expected. They had a full menu of hot and cold food and drinks, which made the wait for our flight more pleasurable. This is definitely our go too.

We were really excited about booking the lounge for the first time. The entrance leading up to it was very swanky and appealing. We were greeted by a grumpy receptionist who was clearly frustrated at being on her own with no one available to assist with the growing queue. When we went through, the bar area looked promising, but we were really disappointed. Tired seating, dirty tables and floors and the food on offer was more like a service station. Our table remained unwiped with empties on for 3 hours. Such a shame as it could be so nice. There was no music either. The library area was better with slightly better air con and comfier chairs but the carpet could do with a good hoover. Toilets were nice but lacking in hand towels.

Poor, £26 pp half eaten plates of food everywhere. Only hot food available was over cooked sausages, baked beens and potatoes. There was no butter & no toast. Not worth the money. Scones and banana cake, fruit and porridge. According to the staff they didn’t get their delivery ……
Staff were lovely but not enough of them.

Disgraceful service, lack of staff, dirty plates left laying around for over 3 hours, 30 minutes queue for the bar to get a drink, no food for 30 minutes and then the food that was brought out was cooked so cheaply to be absolutely tasteless. A complaint will be forthcoming. Don't waste your time, book a different lounge and no1 lounge, don't reply with any excuses, those are your problems not the customers...

Place just gets worse it seems. Tables not cleared so very difficult to find somewhere to sit let alone eat. Plates not dried before being put out to use and the food well the sausages were hot as for the rest luke warm at best. Come on no 1 get your act together staff stood around doing nothing whilst customers struggling to find somewhere clean to sit

Probably one of the best lounges at Gatwick. (Better than plaza premium lounge!!) Absolutely loved the service everyone was so kind even though they were busy. You get a welcome drink on arrival and they serve a buffet with full English breakfast fare in the morning with bakery goods and cereals around breakfast time.
They have multiple seating areas including a bar, lounge with couches, a library and study along with an area with tables and chairs for eating. Screens are present for gate information so no need to stress! Highly recommend this lounge.

The No 1 Lounge at Gatwick North is a great lounge before you fly. Tue use it for premium booking or you can pay to enter.
There is a good food counter, breakfast was the normal full English, tea coffee, juice, pastries, etc.
There is also a full bar
Various seating soft and hard with views over the airport.
Didn’t get 5 stars from me today as although there were lots of staff about, they seemed to be doing very little, had to ask for our table to be wiped, juice to be refilled, bacon to be refIlled, and strangely there were no serviettes which I had to ask for.
Otherwise a pleasant experience.

Quite a large lounge, that was kept clean and found it to be comfortable. Premium feel and was not overly full. Bar staff were friendly and food options were adequate. One of my favorites.
