Well this has been the biggest surprise of my life with the way the team at Mitchells have looked after me both other drivers and the office staff , even down to Tom Mitchell himself.
Nothing is too much trouble for them to help and guide you through a very busy and difficult environment.
If you are new to this industry and want the best help and advice these are the guys for you.
Thank you for all your help and keep safe people.
Kindest Regards
Mark
waiting 3 days for pallets to be collected. pallets going missing.
pallets being stored in a warehouse with bags of gravel which absolutely covered my products in layers of dust.
they placed the wrong labels on 2 of my pallets and were sent to the wrong customers. I first thought this was my fault and I had mixed up my own labels.
I sent a private courier to Newcastle to fetch one item from a very unhappy customer. I managed to cancel the other item that was being delivered in Scotland and paid to get it sent back to me.
upon receiving the pallet back I realised that they had placed the wrong labels on and the labels I had stuck on were correct. I sent pictures of the wrong labels via email and someone said they would get back to me. overall it cost me over £400 and my emails and phone calls were ignored. I am still waiting for an email back and still £400 down.
its now been 3 months and I haven't even been sent an apology.
I have been using pallet companies for 12 years and these guys are the most unreliable and unprofessional company I have dealt with.
I'm 77 and disabled, my partner is 74, the first collecton he did he adamantly refused to help to get the collection onto the pavement. I've since learned that the collection/delivery is supposed to be from or on to the premises, not a roadside collection or delivery.
With the attitude he has this particular driver should look for different job where he doesn't have to deal with the general public.
If the company policy is to only deliver palletised goods to the roadside they have no business delivering to private properties where pallet trucks are not usually available to move the delivery onto the premises.
