Cafe La Lavella

WOW, just WOW. My first time eating at a Turkish/Greek restaurant since a horrible meal in Manchester some years ago. For £5.50 this is a true delight on a cold winters night after a long journey. The flavours are divine, on a packed plate with a well made Mocca you can't ask for more. Such friendly staff and beautiful café bar, it's a great place to take the family or just relax with great food. They have a very select alcohol offering but this does not detract from the sensational food. A definite must try and I for one will be returning whenever I'm in London.

Very good service, good food and drink, one of the best places to have a Mocha, the prices aren't over expensive. Very nice and highly recommended. The sundaes were delicious, well and freshly made.

Just an update
Excellent coffee, great service always... But unfortunately our visit today the food was a little disappointing due to the very hot weather we wanted to keep it simple, we chose to order burgers and chips, not the greatest meat or burgers we've had, all I can say is that it won't be a choice I would go for again. And sadly the Sundays today was very disappointing compared to what we usually had, usually we come in the mornings or lunchtime but today we got here later afternoon. I think in future we'll keep it to early visits.

We wanted to say something but due to everyone being friendly with good service it was hard and since we've become some what of regulars it wasn't worth making a fuss out of something that wasn't a big deal.

But we will be visiting again soon but at an earlier time. No disrespect to the later members of staff they all been lovely, just the quality of food and dessert was a bit of a let down. Still recommend this place and for families

I’ve been to this restaurant before and the food and standards were much different. The reason I’m giving 1 star is because firstly we found a hair in the kebab which is due to the fact that chefs are wearing the Covid masks but not hair nets, secondly we asked if they can do a mix kebab which they can because it was in the menu but the waitress said they don’t do it so I think they can work on their staff training and the last reason is that the food didn’t have ANY seasoning which made it tasteless. Therefore I can’t give more than 1 star even if the size portions are good, there are many other aspects that put us off for going there again.

Ordered take away shish kofte and it was absolutely disgusting when I opened box I saw half of tomato and very thin slices of mince meat on the side , It put me off completely from the food and especially from this shop. Basically I paid for half of tomato in one box and little bit of salad in another small box. NO NO NO NEVER AGAIN 🤮

It looks like a nice cafe where to get a tea, so I’ve decided to go in.
I just noticed a waitress with black hair closing the door to my face when she’s clearly saw me coming in.
She looked hands free, so I think that was a bit rude.

Then I’ve asked a tea to the other lady and she gave me a glass with no tea plate and tea bag was still inside the glass.
Where should I put the tea bag, on the table?

I think some extra consideration would be nice.

Anyway the cafe looks nice, however I didn’t see any vegan option to have with a tea.

I think you should improve some things because the place looks nice, and it’s in front of the station.

Also, who chooses the music on the radio? Sounds like dated and commercial house music most of the time.

Went for breakfast asked for the eggs to be running but just turn them over not to be glassie. I don't think they understood what I said because not took any notice of me.
When my breakfast came the bean had just come out the tin COLD 🥶 and the rest of the food was luke warm.
I mentioned it to them said sorry but did not change or warm the food up. Very poor customer service, cash only.
The place is a bit grabby none had masks on or hairnets. I will not be going back.

Went there with family on Christmas eve. What agreat service with new stuff! Lady with dark hair and beautifull eyes,she was wearing a name badge but cant remeber now! First time i see her there! Immediately we walked in
She run to us showing us where to sit with a big smile on hee face! She is excellent! Food was good! Over all we were happy with almost eveything

Had breakfast here today , reasonable prices good service thank you 👍🏽
