THE GENERALS GRILL

The Generals Grill is a relatively new place. From the outside it looks appealing however they decided to stick a table of four very close to the door, there is no one to welcome you, you have to go to them which was our experience, wasn't busy at all except there was a very large family of more than 10. We were sat down and given plates and cutlery along with the menus a minute or two later. 2-3 mins must have past and the waitress comes to ask if we are ready? We just sat down not long ago. We finally ordered the chef's special platter for 2-3 to share at £20 along with a proton of chips which I believe was £2.50 and some drinks. Followed along closely came the bread which was bit hard and not soft, sauces, salad, cold meze, and drinks which came quick. The food didn't take too long either. Overall the food was delicious, can't fault them on the food at all, quality and portion along with the price was spot on! I would definitely come back to this place. If you like Turkish food or want to try gourmet burgers at a Turkish restaurant then this place definitely requires a visit.

The first thing to not is they don't take cards, only cash! And the nearby cash point charges about £1.20 per withdrawal.

The food is relatively good about 70%. Its not top notch. The price won't break the bank though, but be becareful ordering for more naan bread like you may normally do at other turkish restaurants at no extra cost, because here there is extra cost for every extra naan bread ordered.
I will give the customer service 60%. They can do better. one of the staff refused to give up his seat for customers. He just sat there, chilling.

Parking is a bit tricky. From 6pm Monday to Friday is free on the road and across the road close to the Lidyl is a good place to park.

I found a dead mosquito 🦟 in my food..and the manager said they have no flies.

I will contact the food environmental agency.

Whoever cooked the food knew what they was doing.

I won't stop until this place gets shut down..
Finding mosquito in the food is a major food violation.
And the managers customer service is absolutely disgusting. Stay away from this place

The Food, service and atmosphere is awesome. This Turkish restaurant is run by Punjabi Indians and able to make it authentically well better than the Turkish restaurants. The owner is a Gentleman and very friendly. Whenever we visit he receives us with joy and so he does to all the customers. Food wise love their Chicken Livers, Doners, Chicken wings with rice and salads awesome. You must visit them 💐💐😃😃😃💗💗💗

Really let down by the quality of food. The meats were hard, ocercooked and dry, felt like they reheated last nights leftovers and delivered to me. Called the restaurant to complain but they didn't seem very interested in resolving the issue. Not ordering again from here.

On 19th November I had dinner with my husband there, the service was excellent. The wine was amazing, it went well with the food the chef cooked. We will definitely come back as we recommend the place!

Absolutely disgusting food, the customer service is even more disgusting. Received mushy rice and bulgar and when I asked for replacement get told that its the flavour of the water. No you guys don’t know how to run a restaurant! Not once did they apologise for their poor standards, told me they would give chips if someone went to collect it. My partner went and Instead of apologising management asks him to deal with it and that their food is cheap, what has that got to do with anything?! And no condenesation does not make rice mushy! They don’t know how to cook! We eat and order turkish takeaway from different places all the time, noone has ever served us mushy rice or “water flavoured” as they say!
