Kumon Maths & English

Working as a employee for Kumon Blackburn Central Study Centre I witness on a regular basis children being encouraged to work to their full potential and ability. The atmosphere in the Centre itself is very warm and supportive, where the learning environment is positive and encouraging. Ruth is an amazing instructor as well as the staff where each and every child's needs are met. The support the child receives in class is paramount and help is always there if needed. The structure of the Kumon programme itself is catered in such a way that it not only improves your child's Maths and English but disciplines them into becoming motivated individuals with a indestructible work ethic. I highly recommend Kumon for your child as you will see some significant improvement in their school grades and overall see a change in their academic route in life.

Kumon is a wonderful environment for children to thrive in. The staff are friendly and encourage children to work hard in order to achieve great results. Ruth is fantastic and my son definitely benefits from spending time with her. The centre benefits from an ideal location, conveniently situated in Blackburn town centre. I can't praise Ruth and her team highly enough and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Kumon.

Me and my brothers did Kumon as children and found the Maths programme very beneficial. It is great for improving your Maths and English skills and gave us a fantastic work ethic. I now work at Kumon and think that the Blackburn centre has fantastic opportunities for many more children to succeed and our instructor Ruth is friendly, approachable and very helpful. :)

Having worked at Kumon Blackburn for several months, I can confidently say that it's absolutely the best place to send your child who wants to develop their independent learning skills or needs a bit of a boost in their English or Maths. Ruth is an excellent, engaging instructor who tailors each child's work to their specific needs, and the classroom assistants work together to help with any queries. The centre always has a bright, cheery atmosphere, and every child that begins studying a Kumon programme comes out of it a much more confident and capable independent learner. It's no wonder that Kumon Blackburn generates so many success stories!

My son and daughter have been attending Kumon since March last year. They have gained a lot of confidence in their work. My daughter Zarah has achieved high marks for maths whereas my son has made good steady progress at his ability level in maths and English. I am very pleased with the support they receive and the contacts we have between the centre and ourselves so we are up to date with the work and progress being made. My daughter attends Kumon Blackburn Central for maths lessons. We originally decided to take her to extra lessons to develop her confidence in the subject and achieved this within weeks of starting lessons.
Her maths skills are now much more advanced than those of her peers at school, and her ability in her times tables has made school life so much easier for her.
The staff are super helpful and friendly, accomodating your every need. Ruth is an excellent teacher who shows a genuine warmth when speaking of her pupils. She always looks for ways to support you as a parent to help your child to succeed in their studies.

Ruth and her staff are well organised. I am always kept up to date with my daughters progress through reports and meetings.

What can I say ...
Before sending our daughter to Kumon she would have a meltdown at the thought of doing basic maths as she hadn’t picked up the basics at school. We thought we’d give Kumon a try to see if it could help her regain her confidence in maths. She started whilst she was in year 3 and is now in year 5 and the difference is phenomenal. She is now so confident in her maths and is exceeding her targets at school.
We would highly recommend Ruth and her team at Kumon for all the work they do with the children, as it had made such a huge positive change in our daughters education up to now.
