Kumon Maths & English

We have been coming to this Kumon centre for a few years now, to do maths. It has definitely helped my children, their accuracy and speed.
They are more confident in maths and enjoy it more. Ade and her team are wonderful and very approachable. We always look forward to going especially as the children see their friends too.

The Kumon centre in Belmont led by Ade is a fabulous place to cement the core mathematical principals. My daughter's own confidence in her mathematical ability has increased.

Great place to get extra help in Maths and English. It really embeds core techniques and complements and supports what is being taught at school. My children have grown in confidence, speed and accuracy in maths. It’s also great to attend with other school friends.

Belmont kumon is good ...it helped my son learning and get into routine. Staff are polite and knowledgeable.

Highly recommend this place as it’s a great start for children to build on Maths skills. There is a simple structure in place and it is worthwhile. I can see how quickly my son has improved and gained confidence in maths skills as he was struggling and losing interest at school. Ade is a great tutor. She is patient, supportive and great at building confidence. My son is really enjoying his time at Kumon.

I could not recommend Ade and the Kumon Belmont Centre enough! Since my daughter has been attending and completing both Math & English subjects under Ade’s watchful eye and encouragement, my daughter has excelled beyond our imagination! The discipline, the focus and the guidance is clear and structured and I am so glad we started this Kumon journey! My son joined Kumon when he was in Y2 and this has steadily helped him to improve his confidence. The centre coordinator Ade was very helpful in pacing the workload such that it was manageable and still bit fun. Thanks for all the support over the last two years Ade.

Not my kids cup of tea, they were given booklets to do every day but its up to the parents to mark the booklets and email the centre the results

You also have to pick up the booklets at the designated time so alot of work at the parents end

Was told the teachers don't do teaching, they encourage self learning and gear the children to think on their own but I didn't see more encouragement or tips given to my kids during 5 minute zoom

Teacher and learner meet for less than 5 minutes a week for the teacher to see how they do a booklet

I trialled for 3 weeks and the kids got bored with that fact there was not enough interactive, during the zoom meeting they did not feel they had enough attention and no feedback

I found marking their work and emailing the results takes up good 30 minute of my time which frankly if I pay what I'm paying I could have put them on a study group for one hour a week

Please make sure you ask for a cooling period as you are required to pay one month in advance and you have to give one month notice.

My kids didnt like the lack of input from the centre so we just rather lose a month than carry on
