Kumon Maths & English

My 2 children have been coming to Kumon for 15 months; my daughter studies Maths while my son studies literacy.
Before starting Kumon my son was struggling to acquire literacy skills due to his dyslexia. His confidence and self-esteem were very low when we met Sarah but I can't thank her enough for the difference Kumon has made to his life. He has made huge strides with his reading, spelling and knowledge of grammar, and he's grown in confidence too.
My daughter has significant features of dyslexia, some features of dyscalculia and some visual reasoning challenges. As Maths is her area of greater need, this is targeted in Kumon. She also had very low confidence and struggled to retain many mathematical concepts or perform operations. Kumon has given my daughter the repetition and much needed overlearning she requires to progress her skills and retain information of a mathematical nature.
Sarah has been extremely supportive and sensitive to both my children's needs. She is approachable and I have always found her to be responsive to messages, helpful and friendly. I have nothing but praise for her and Kumon. It's a teaching method which has been successful for my children.
The cost of Kumon is reasonable particularly when you compare it to private tutor fees.

Our daughter has been at Kumon with Sarah since 2014. Since joining, her maths have improved dramatically, as has her approach to school work in general.
We cannot thank Sarah enough for her dedication to improving our daughters education, and would recommend Kumon wholeheartedly.

My daughter has been doing Kumon for nearly two years and it has really helped her with maths. She has become much more confident and has learnt how to work independently well. She now gets much higher marks at school in Maths tests.

I'm a huge supporter of kumon and the great work Sarah has done and continues to do with my children. My eldest daughter started struggling with her confidence in math over two years ago and we found the kumon programme on the Internet. After meeting with Sarah and discussing our concerns we knew kumon and Sarah would be the right decision. We knew the academic results would naturally come with more revision, however we underestimated how much the one to one support, the personal recognition and positive feedback Sarah gave would have on my daughters confidence and this has shown in her progression in other subjects at school. My daughter will be going to high school in September and we have every intention to carry on with the programme, as she recognises the importance of what a little more hard work and dedication will have on her academic results.

My younger daughter asked to start the English programme a few months ago as she was eager to join her sister in Sarah's class. She loves the homework papers and telling everyone at school about her kumon classes with Sarah. It's certainly one of the best decisions we made for our children and would highly recommend Sarah as an excellent tutor and this programme to anyone who wants a way of helping their child progress. Worth every penny!

My daughters have done 1 year Kumon both Maths & English. Sarah switched to full online learning during Lockdown, which was very effective. Beyond my daughters' huge progress academically, their confidence and concentration improved as well. Truly a unique method of independent learning. Thank you Sarah :)

We have taken our 6-year-old daughter to the centre for about a year for maths and English. We watched her confidence and abilities grow since going. She started at a new school very shy and self-conscious about her class work, but Kumon has massively developed her confidence. She's now in her class's top reading group and getting excellent Maths and English school reports.

Mrs Mary is a great teacher and very kind. My daughter loves her and attending the in-person sessions.

I have two daughter’s doing Maths at Kumon. They are 13 and 14. Now that their school maths lessons are getting more advanced, I have found that their speed, accuracy and understanding of the basics has meant they can spend more time on understanding the complex. As their Kumon work gets more complex, it re-enforces and revises what they have previously learnt at school. Consequently I feel that they are progressing very well with the school curriculum - much more so than if they hadn’t done Kumon.
