Kumon Maths & English

Kumon has completely turned my sons approach to maths around. He attends an independent school and was struggling with his maths, dreading lessons, getting upset with homework, frustrated and in the bottom set in class with a dedicated teacher on his table. We started Kumon with Dave Feb 2018 and he’s now (Nov 2019) at the top of the class, enjoying maths and has recently had the pleasure of other class friends asking him for help (couldn’t wait to tell me, bursting with pride). His progress has been astonishing, quite simply the BEST decision we’ve made as a family. Don’t get me wrong, it requires dedication, we’ve become a great team, my son, Dave and us parents. My son can now start senior school confident that he CAN do maths and he’s fabulous at it! A life changer! Thank goodness my hairdresser mentioned Kumon to me, forever grateful!

My daughter has been doing maths with Kumon for a while at Long Eaton. As a summer baby, the consistent and methodical method has really suited her and she has come on leaps and bounds in maths. Being better at maths was never the sole intention though; it was about giving her the opportunity to feel self confident in her ability to learn and on a level with her peers. She loves her sessions online - and now again in person - and she is motivated to do her homework as she sees her progress. She has developed a very positive mindset to daily homework which extends well beyond her Kumon work. Happily, her younger brother, having seen his sister do homework every night for some time, now expects to do his school homework also, daily. The benefits have been very far reaching. Dave, who runs Kumon at Long Eaton goes above and beyond all of the time. From keeping Kumon running seamlessly during Covid restrictions, personally posting homework to being available for impromptu 1-1 sessions if she ever gets stuck. He is very patient and motivating in a way that I am not! Thank you. Dave. I really cannot recommend this enough!

My Son started his Kumon 2 yrs back(5yrs old) and he is 7 now where he does high level division, multiplications and started fractions now. I feel very proud of him, even his school teacher appreciates for the quick maths he does in his class, all the credit goes to Kumon. Children learn lots of logical thinking and the teacher specifically helps them learn everything independently which is most important to improve their skills. Also, they would be perfect and all set for GCSE exams. Thanks Dave for everything you did to help Shashank. Highly appreciate & recommend Kumon.

I honestly can’t recommend Dave and Kumon enough. My daughter joined during lockdown as she was really struggling with her maths. Her confidence was low and was very regularly getting upset at the thought of having to do any type of maths. When she started it was all online and Dave was so kind and patient and very quickly she built up her confidence and skills. 2 years later she did her SATS and maths was the one she passed with flying colours. The skills and knowledge she learnt had really set her up to take on maths at secondary. Thank you Dave!

Our son has attended Kumon for over 3 years after struggling with English. Dave has always been so kind and supportive of our son and he has made good progress with his English work and above all has gained more confidence in his academic abilities.

Absolutely fantastic! My daughter was really struggling with maths and thanks to Dave, she is now well ahead and so much more confident. I highly recommend kumon, long eaton, to anyone who needs help with maths or english. Dave goes above and beyond to help his students and this has definitely shown throughout lockdown. He set up regular online tutoring sessions, one to one help and made sure everyone had their work delivered regularly, so they never missed out, or fell behind. He truly cares about his students doing well. 5 stars from me, definitely ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
