This place is immensely huge! One can easily get lost in here looking for a book. Love the retro fittings, such as the timer dial for lights and the gold flick switches.

Truly impressive place to look at

The library is one of the legal deposit libraries in UK, which means by law they can request a copy of any book published in UK.

The corridor and the main hall of the library are overwhelming and stunning. However for the rest of the library they are rather disappointing with extremely low floor-to-ceiling height and very low amount of nature light. No an ideal place to study at

My son has been studying at Cambridge for 4 years and finally got around to visiting inside the U.L.
Was worth the wait.

Jesus Christ, Margaret is a superstar. Queen, if you're reading this, please make her a Dame of the Realm, but maybe find another title, because Margaret doesn't like how 'Dame Margaret' sounds.

18 or so years ago, a scholar writing on an obscure topic had his book accepted at this library. I later married his daughter, and we were in town and wanted to surprise him with a picture of the book. It turns out you need to be a member of the library to enter, and we are not members, so we couldn't go in. But then Margaret, who answered the phone, WENT AND GOT IT FOR US so we could see it and take pictures with it! Just awesome effort. Crushed it. I'll be raising toasts to her for the foreseeable future, and her name is in the running for the middle name of my future daughter.

Fantastic space to focus on your work. Includes a baby changing room, tea room, courtyard, and wide-screen PCs-- very accommodating indeed!

Lovely library, nice and quiet. Went for the Darwin exhibition which was small but interesting, and viewed a selection of portraits upstairs relating to the Darwin exhibition.

We went along to the Samurai: History and Legend Exhibition at the Milstein Room within the University Library on Thursday 10 March 2022, and we all look a good look at the exhibits, and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience, if you are a fan of Japanese Culture, I recommend that you go to this exhibition, we also bought a poster and a couple of fridge magnets from the Pop-up Gift Shop as well, and the Library Staff were very helpful.

Rather small for a large university but sufficiently cosy.
