Small rooms, painted white brick walls, Only one double plug socket in the room. No coat hangers, you'll need to provide your own. The kitchen is good, a couple of clean fridges and freezers. Two ovens and two hobs - solid rings. The grounds are really well maintained and some fantastic views when you're outside. Weddings can mean you cannot go in the gardens or the main house.

This a Bristol university halls of residence based in Clifton and set within the most stunning grounds. I live here for 3 years as a student of the university and absolutely loved it. Great sense of community in a great location and lovely little self catering flats. Absolutely the best halls at Bristol when I was there. Visited recently as a walk down memory lane and salt no thing had changed in the student accommodation which now looks pretty tired 13 years later.

Unique venue hire location for weddings, parties or corporate events. Hidden in a historic part of Bristol, conveniently close to the town centre, this lovely historic house includes cosy wood-panelled rooms as well as a large, impressive Orangery (conservatory) which can hold over 100 people and overlooks a pretty garden. The event staff (who work as part of University of Bristol) are excellent and very helpful - very highly recommended.

Really nice wedding venue in the heart of Clifton. It is amazing the size of the gardens in this built up area of Bristol and it even has its very own Grotto as well ! The staff are fantastic, thank you everyone at Goldney Hall for a beautiful weekend I really enjoyed photographing at your venue.

I used to work in Goldney Gardens and am shocked at the mess the grounds are now in. The wonderful cloud pruned yew hedge has gone and, from the standard of work, contractors are doing the work - badly. We were a dedicated team of gardeners 5 in all covering Godney, Clifton Hill House and Manor Hall. I was the propagator raising all stock required across the University and to decorate Wills Building for degree congregation. We cared and it showed in the quality of our work and the presentation of the grounds. Although cost was a factor the deterioration of the wonderful glass houses and cold frames is cultural vandalism. The Garden Committee should hang their heads in shame.

Very beautiful place to have a wedding or any event. Nice beautiful gardens. Historical budings including an old grotto that was build with over 20 different shells brought in from the Carabian. Although it does look beautiful, I feel sorry for the damage done to the coral reef. But I guess back in the day, they didn't know any better. We attended a wedding here and it was spectacular. You don't need to do much to dress it up with flowers etc because the place is already beautiful with the gardens and trees.

The staff were nice and very attentive to detail. They went out of their way to make sure they met our requets. If you have a reason to celebrate with family and friends then this is the place for you. Shout out to the lady who gave us the tour and the historical background of the grotto. Even people in Bristol were shocked that it existed. Make it a point to visit if you can.

Excellent if dated student accommodation in wonderful location. Lovely grounds. Welcoming and helpful to first years on arrival. Outstanding shared study environment. Occasional private bookings limit student access to part of grounds and buildings.
