University of East London

Beautiful campus and very good teaching staff. Campus is very big with student accomodations and just right behind Train station (DLR). Located in Londons fastest developing area EAST London. One should surely consider this university for their bachelor's or masters. Best university for international students.

I did my first year there.. it was okay, went to my second year and my father passed away in the middle of the semester.. I couldn’t do any assignments or attend. I was hoping they would let me repeat the year but they decided to kick me out for “ insufficient success”. I tried to appeal but no response.. they always taught us that “ mental health” is really important at their school but when it came to me they had no remorse. I am truly disappointed that I chose this university to study.. if you have other choices..choose other.

Institution with Great view. You can literally watch take off and landing because it's opposite to London City airport.

A good place that provides a lot of different services. Two different coffee shops are in this place, and there is also a bar that is only available to students or people who go (I think this includes staff) to the uni and have a university I.D. They aren't the most organised and there is sometimes a lot of confusion between rooms (as we had a room supposedly booked for the whole of T2 at first from 2 - 6 but then it was supposed to be changed to 1 - 5 which is what the lecturer requested but they never changed it on their system so on the last lesson there was a party going on in that room until 2 because they had never bothered to change it on their system).

Overall I like the lecturers here and there is a lot of opportunity if you come here.

Student service is very bad,they don't answer their phones, they don't answer e-mails that are impossible to reach. I will receive information about my transactions for 5 weeks, no response.

Employees do not know anything, they always transfer the phone between themselves.

all they say is wait.

Uel for me in a word is heaven. there is such a fantastic equilibrium in studies and activities that UEL never misses the chance to render the best experience in both. my experience so far has been unforgettable. be it touring, or lecturing every facility at Uel is a synonym for incredible.

Amazing institution. Located just by the Royal docks. You can see planes landing and taking off over the London City Airport and it is just amazing. Buildings are well spaced, equipped and the designs are awesome. Students come from all parts of the world and lectures are well delivered in conducive classrooms. Technology is used as a tool to make lectures more comfortable

Had to withdraw from the Adult Nursing course at the start of the pandemic after attending the classes for 4-5 weeks. They should've charged me a third of the fee but ended up charging me over £9k because they 'accidentally' lost my withdrawal letter. How convenient.
However, they did cut me off the platform, and some advisor called me to confirm the withdrawal.

I tried to get in touch with them but they take months to reply to an email, and when they do reply, they forward my email to another department.

Now the question is, if they lost my withdrawal letter, how safe are my personal records with them?

My experience has been terrible and do not recommend this place to anyone.
