Located a convenient 75 miles from Oxford's historic centre, It's a great base from which to explore the city provided you have Concorde. Its rustic setting provides a monastic atmosphere in which to contemplate what form the courgettes will take in the next meal at hall.

For any 'leave' voters who worry about the implications of a remain vote on national security, the college lies comfortably outside the blast radius of most modern weapons and is currently constructing further defenses, portcullises and gates in case They come on foot.

I was particularly impressed by the visiting fellows who certainly improve the profile of the college when they're visible. Alan Rusbridger's success in recruiting Nearly Headless Nick, Hamlet's father, Casper (the friendly), and the ghosts of christmas past, present and future was one of the reasons I applied to the college after my rejection from 'I'm a celebrity get me out of here'.

At first, I found the college's attempts to garner prestige through its pastiche of Roman architecture nauseating but the interior balances this
dizziness with the impression that you are on a ferry to Bestival.

Overall, totally sound college with great mates and a really chill vibe. Utterly dope.

Gertrude Bell was here!
Visited once and had a lovely Sunday brunch with friends in its beautiful garden.

One of the friendlier, more welcoming colleges. Beautiful grounds running down to the Cherwell. Loved to see how they’ve changed the “sterile” quad grass that many colleges in Oxford have into a beautiful wildflower meadow. Such a nicer welcome to the college and a better example of its values to the world.

Very displeased.
I applied for the 2020 Foundation Year after investing countless hours over a few weeks working on my application by reading extensively before writing and fine-tuning my essay. After I submitted my application I got confirmation of receipt and given a unique candidate number as well as the timetable for the whole process. The date came round for the first invitations to interviews and I was obsessively checking student forums and seeing other candidates getting their decisions whilst anticipating my own. Time was passing and it was soon past the original deadline for a decision, however, due to the early stages of the pandemic unfolding, I didn't worry too much and remained patient. After a couple of weeks had passed and the forums began to quiet down, I began trying to contact the relevant people via email to no luck. After numerous separate attempts to contact them on the provided telephone number over a few weeks, I got through to someone. The lady seemed surprised that I was yet to hear back, asked for my details, and promised to get back to me by the next day. Unfortunately, I didn't hear back, and never managed to get into contact with them again. Giving up after a couple of months and countless emails.
I understand that there were unforeseen circumstances, but I can't help but feel very disheartened after spending so much time on my application. I understand if I am not what they are looking for but I feel I should have been at least contacted instead of left waiting.

Handsome and serene college and gardens, although I'm not the most objective critic. I'm sad I missed the wildflower spiral quad this year. It will be even better when all the talented groundstaff return.
